Years Have Gone By, What am I?

"Who are you?

Yet his question remained unanswered.

It had been several years since Katsuki was abandoned. He had been five when he was left behind by his mother and now, he was sixteen. Eleven years had gone by and he felt like shit.

Bruises and cuts scattered his body. Cuts appeared mostly on his arms and some on his shoulders or legs because the lab needed to test his blood several times a day. And when he refused, he got beaten until he was knocked out, resulting in bruises.

He doesn't have many bruises anymore, the ones that showed were slowly fading away. A lot has happened in his time he's been with the lab. He's been forced in battles to the death with other 'patients' to show who was strongest. It was like an arena, one slip up could cost you your life. Even though Katsuki is thankful he's never lost a battle, he has already lost count of the amount of times he's had to kill others. The lab was ruthless and wanted to know who was stronger than others so that they could inflict more pain on them. Seeing as they could handle it, they pressured strong patients to do more experiments.

He used to be stubborn and angry at the lab. But the beatings had changed his mind and he talked some sense into himself for two main reasons.

1. His mother probably made up and excuse as to why Katsuki disappeared, she was great liar so anyone would believe her. No one knew where the lab was except for the cruel twisted people who dared to sell people here. But those monsters would never even think to rat the lab out. They would also get into trouble for selling people in the first place. It was obvious, he had no hope in the authorities finding this place.

And 2. He didn't get any benefit from being defiant. If he fought back, he would get even more hurt than originally intended. He didn't like seeing himself all bruised up. He had preferred a cut on the arm rather than a whole bruised up body.

To make matters worse, the lab knows how dangerous they made him. Katsuki is considered a threat. So he was chained to the ground, some chains went underground while the others we're tied up to a metal pole that stood right behind him and his mouth was muzzled, like some kind of fucking beast. He could hardly breath without almost choking and passing out.

He felt sorry for himself, for being so damn naive and trusting his mother, for being so damn weak that he couldn't pull away from the lady who had taken him into the "house". Now look at him. He didn't look human any more. He looked down as best he could, staring at his body and taking in his features he could see. He couldn't even tell what he was.

He had blonde spiky har with two wolf ears poking out, the base was blonde but the tip of his ears faded into a dark brown they almost looked black. His eyes were a dark crimson red, they had narrowed, and his pupils were slitted. Reminding him of a cat's pupil. (Cause KAT-Suki. Yknow? Get it? Its funny. laugh.)  He had fangs in his mouth, positioning themselves right where his canines were supposed to be. He's gotten used to positioning them so that he wouldn't accidentally bite the inside of his mouth. Although they sometimes stuck out when he closed his mouth, they didn't hurt him.

He then looked at his tail. It was like a husky's tail, furry and big, although it wasn't as curled and fluffy. It was more slim and flexible. Over the course of the years, he had learned how to somewhat control it. He knew how to pick up objects with it, slide it around his leg or wrist, and how to smack something without hurting it.

He knew how he had gotten all of these features, it was by the lab. A different person had come in with a syringe at different times. Probably about a couple weeks apart, and they would stab him with the syringe and inject a liquid in his veins.

The first time he experienced a change in his body was with his fangs, he was forced to swallow some pill and the next day he had a nagging pain in his mouth, especially in his teeth. He was forced to take the same pill every day, and over time his canines had grown into sharp fangs. The second time was his ears, they had stabbed him in his shoulder with some weird gadgets that had made him pass out. He was put into surgery and once he finally regained his consciousness again, his human ears were gone. Instead stood the wolf ears. And the third time was his tail, they stabbed him in his thigh and the tail grew out more and more everyday until it reached it's final length and stopped. It took about two weeks. But it was the least painful.

The  fourth and final time was his retractable claws and his eyes. They had performed  a surgery on him and knocked him out, when he woke up, his vision was different and he got to see himself for the first time in years. The lab had accidentally left a mirror out in his healing room. So he took the chance and examined his body. His normally round pupils had turned into slits. His nails had also been tampered with during the surgery. It looked like he had normal nails but he was able to extend them into claws and retract them back into regular nails. He wasn't too upset about that.

He was only able to take glances at his clothing because the muzzle blocked his view. Although he managed to see enough to know that he wore all white clothing, it was scratchy and stiff, he hated it. It made his skin feel itchy and dry.

He tried to raise his neck since it had felt heavy and he wanted to stretch. It took some force but he eventually did it. It was hard since he wears a shock collar around his neck, the thing was black with orange crosses to signify danger. But it was probably the most comfortable thing on him.

The door opened and Katsuki looked at who entered. He saw the same guy he had always seen right before they initiated an experiment on him or when it was night time and he needed to sleep. He knew it was night time because of what was in his hand. A purple liquid in a small disposable cup. He knew exactly what it was.

The male placed the cup down on the floor next to Katsuki and crouched down. He started taking off Katsuki's muzzle cautiously. Katsuki didn't fight back and gently opened his mouth, he swallowed the liquid that the man poured into his mouth and the man left. He didn't put the muzzle back on though, and he felt somewhat grateful to have it off.

The melatonin he had just drank took about five minutes to fully kick in. And about one minute in, he started to feel it trying to take him under. Barely after the third minute everything flashed red. A loud alarm went off and it hurt Katsuki's ears, they went down and he struggled to keep the sound out.

He heard a loud bang close to him and he looked up at it immediately. A man walked toward him.

"Holy shit, what in the hell did those bastards do to you?" The man's voice sounded annoyed but also held a hint of pity.

Even though Katsuki felt weary, he was able to get a good look at him.  The man was tall and wore black clothing and shoes, he had  a grey scarf around his neck, and wore a golden eye mask. He had blood splattered around him, but Katsuki could tell it wasn't his blood. He wanted to ask questions like, who are you, why are you here, what are you going to do, are you going to hurt me?

But he was paralyzed by fear, he couldn't move his mouth and at last, the melatonin kicked in. Katsuki's eyes drooped and his eyelids felt heavy. Then he passed out, not knowing what the hell that man would do to him.

Katsuki fluttered his eyes open. He was laid down in a bed. But his room had no bed? He sat up and curiously looked around the room. It was mostly white. But not like the labs, it was a more warm toned, off white that provided a sense of comfort. The room had two windows, and he felt some different material cling to his skin. The clothing he was wearing was all white but it was more, silky? And flowy? Had the lab changed his clothes? And his room?  He took a peak out the window and saw something he hadn't seen ever since he was a kid, the outside. There were building and cars. He saw trees and roads. It was beautiful. Then the realization hit. He wasn't in the lab. He remembered what had happened to him. Had the strange man taken him here? But why? He laid back down on his weirdly comfy but not unwelcome bed.

What was happening?
