Y/n POV

I took a day off today. I needed some time, a break from everything that has been happening in my life. Its all too much.

I still remember how he sobbed so much last night. But no matter what, I can't bring myself to forgive him. He left me. He left us. What we had was so beautiful but it all seemed to be a nightmare now. A beautiful nightmare.

Ding dong

Hearing the doorbell, I went to open the door.

"Hello daughter" she said as she walked inside and gave me a loving hug.

"Mrs. Kim!"

As soon as the words left my mouth, she turned to me with a frown on her face.

"I know that you two are not together honey but I'm still like your mother. I would like it very much if you'd call me mom only"

I smiled at the loving woman infront of me.

"I'm sorry mom, I just didn't-

"Its okay. Lets take a seat, shall we?"
She said as she sat on the couch and I followed her movements.

"Please make yourself comfortable, I'll make us some tea"

"No y/n, I'll have the tea but not now. Sit with me. Come on"

I nodded and sat beside her.

"How are you y/n?"

"I'm fine mom. How are you?"

She sighed

"I have known you for years. I have witnessed the love that you had for my son. I'm well aware of the fact that how important he was to you and how much you adored your family. And after the divorce, I'm sure you must be everything but fine. So, I'll ask one more time, how are you y/n?"

I looked at her with my tear filled eyes. How much I wanted someone to see through me like that.

"I-i'm not fine mom. I'm not"
This was all I could say before breaking down in tears and she held me close, letting my tears fall.

"Its okay honey. I'm here now. Let it all out."

"M-mom, he left me and in-su. H-he said he didn't loved me anymore. He said he could live without me mom. H-he's so bad. And-and I hate myself. I hate me for still loving him."

"I know y/n. I know him, he loves you too-

I wiped my tears with the back of my hand

"No, he doesn't. He wouldn't leave us like that if he did. He never loved me"

"No, you are wrong here. I'm his mother and I have seen love in his eyes for you. I have seen how his eyes sparkled whenever he talked about you. He was crazily in love with you and he still is."

I didn't know what to say anymore.

"Why don't we have some tea now. Hmm?"

I nodded and walked over to the kitchen.

He loves me? No. No, he doesn't. He just came back because she cheated on him.

I placed the tea cups on the table before taking my seat again.

Mom took a sip before speaking again.

"Look, y/n, I know the mistake he made was unforgivable. But I have seen you hurting and now he's going through the same. You both are slowly ruining yourselves. If he's ready to come back, give him a chance. Let him make things right. Nothing will be worse than it is already now. Let things get better."

"I-i want to forgive him but it's not so easy mom. Whenever he's infront of me, all I can think about is the day he left me. He lost all his rights on me and my son that day. I have suffered alone all this time. Not even once did he asked if I was even alive or not . How can I forget all that and give him the power to ruin me again?"

She was silent this time.

"I know you have suffered a lot honey. But I can't see the three of you like this anymore. I understand if you can't forgive him right now but still let him in, for in-su at least. That kid is suffering the most because of this. He constantly needs to chose between one of his parents. Do you think that is fair to that poor soul? At least end his pain."

"Y/n, time is the best healer. It heals even the deepest of wounds. Forgive him and let the time heal you all."

"But it will leave a scar mom."
She smiled before answering

"Scars are better that open, bleeding wounds. Aren't they?"

I nodded and took my phone from the table before dialing seokjin's number

"Hello. Y/n?"

"Jin, I want to meet you."

"M-me? Yes, yes, I'll come over right now. "

"No, I'll meet you at your place. I'll be there in 15 minutes. "

"Oh God y/n. Yes. I can't even tell you how happy I am!"

"Bye"

I said and hung up the call.

"Mom, can you stay here till the evening. In-su will be back soon."

"Of course darling. I will be here."

I took my car keys and walked towards the door before turning around once again.

"Mom? Are you sure about this? If I went to him, I might not return this time."

"I trust you honey. Talk to him"

"If I didn't come back in two hours, please bring in-su to his place. " I smiled at her before finally leaving that house.
