Desteen's POV
"Here," Sanzu placed another pile of paper on my desk, "just tell me if you're done approving it, I'll be the one to send the papers to Kakucho from now on."
"Eh?" I asked confusingly but he just went out of the office
It's been four days since that incident took place. He's been, I don't know, extra kind since then? Like, he's no longer cold and distant for some weird reasons. It's strange.
I just finished the budget proposal on my macbook before reading the pile of papers. The alarm clock sounded which means it's already lunch time. I turned it off and stood up, god I feel so tired!
I took my purse and went out, but I was greeted by Rindou and Y/N while she's carrying Akeime.
"Heading out for lunch? Just join us," Rindou offered and Y/N nodded excitedly beside him so I couldn't say no
"How's work so far? Are you enjoying it?" Y/N asked as we ordered our food
"It is stressful since I wasn't used to working before, but I'm glad I'm finally out from Reon's leash you know," I chuckled but she looked at me with so much sadness
"Can't you do anything about her situation, Rin?" she suddenly asked
My eyes widened, I don't want Rindou or Ran to get involved with my father that's why I never asked them for help.
"Well, I don't know yet but for now the least I could do is offer her this job," he looked at me, "but when things get worse, you do know we'd be ready to take you in."
"That's true, you deserve better than this," Y/N agreed as she reached out for me, "how about Sanzu, is he treating you right?"
"Of course," I laughed nervously, he really is right? Just recently though, "nothing to worry about."
Good thing our order arrived right away. Y/N shared about some shops and spas she personally likes and suggested that we should get some girls day out together with her friends so I will have a circle here in Japan.
Rindou's very lucky to have her beside him, she just lightens up the mood every time.
She already left for work with Akeime, while Rindou and I headed back to the headquarters.
"By the way, there's a company party later," Rindou informed me, "I'll inform Reon that you'll be staying with us, so you could unwind."
I smiled at the thought. I miss going to clubs, and I've never been in a club here in Japan so it excites me!
"But I'm not really close to anyone in here," I replied, it would be awkward
