Ahhh Isabella Madrigal. The most beautifully perfect Madrigal. Always seen as the golden child, she used to think that she was perfect. Until she saw you. Seeing you made Isabella rethink her perfection. You were perfectly imperfect. And she was drawn to you like a moth drawn to a light. Of course she still had to keep up her perfect attitude but around you...

She just couldn't. Around you it was impossible. Around you she didn't want to be perfect. Around you she didn't need to be perfect. You were perfectly enough for her.

And only for her.

Dolores Madrigal, the hearer of everything. I'd imagine she'd think her "gift" was a massive burden. Hearing every step, every breath, every whisper, every bug, anything and everything. She almost couldn't take it anymore until she heard your voice. Oh your voice. It was so soothing. So soft. So calming. So gentle. Your voice seemed to block out everything else that she heard.

And she loved it.

She loved your morning voice. She loved your dream story's that you told the village kids every morning. She loved every little sound you made. If she didn't hear your voice in the mornings, she believed that she'd go insane. She knew how crazy she sounded, but she didn't care.

Your voice was all she ever needed to hear.

Being the strongest isn't easy. Carrying all the pressure wasn't easy either. But she had to be strong, cause that's all her gift is. Being strong. She didn't feel strong on the inside, but you made her feel stronger. You complimented her about something that wasn't about how strong she was. Oh you never should have done that. You were like her kryptonite. She would do anything for you. And I mean everything.

Ask her to carry some rocks, she'll do it. Ask her to carry less, she'll do it. Ask her to carry the whole damn universe, she'll do it.

Ask her to kill someone, she'll do it.

She'll do absolutely anything for you.

Ahh Camilo the chameleon. The shapeshifter of the bunch. One of the coolest gifts to have. That's what you told him. And boy did he take that to the heart. Ever since you deemed him the coolest Madrigal, he would always try and find a way to impress you. Winking at you to flustered you, making you smile with silly jokes, stealing some of Isabella's flowers to get your attention. Anything and everything he'd do was to impress you. Anything to make you his. And once you were his, he would never let you go.

He would also never shapeshift in front of you.

Because you don't need to depend on anybody else except for him, right?

Mirabel Madrigal. The only Madrigal kid with no gift. Always seen as the less special kid, in Abuela's eyes of course. But to you, she was just as special as the rest of her family. And she loved you for that, because you didn't put people into specific groups. You saw everyone as equals. That's what she loved about you. Your love. And she wanted all of it. She wanted your affection, your smile and most importantly, your attention. Mirabel always payed attention to every little thing that you did and said. If you said you liked plants, she'd find you a plant somewhere in the forest and give it to you. If you said you like stuffed animals, she'd knit you some teddies.

She wants all of your attention.

And she won't let anybody else have it.
