{the chapter title probably has nothing to do with the chapter itself, I just chose it cause it sounds nice}

"Okay imbali yami, remember what I said. We're only going for Antonio and that's it."
"Yes mama, you've told me a thousand times." You rolled your eyes at her while you were fixing up your outfit.
"Oh, I did?" She looked confused for a second before she returned to her semi-stressed expression, "anyways, do you have the gift?"
You picked up the little forest-themed box that was sitting on the table, "yes, now can we please get going."
[M/n] bit her lip, she had a look on her face that said: "I don't want to go, can we just say home?" But you convinced her to let you go and she would do anything for you.
"Okay let's go, and remember we—"
"Yes yes, we're only going for Antonio. Yadadada." You dragged her out of the house by her arm and started heading towards Casita.

The moment you both entered the house, you were greeted by an atmosphere of warm colors. Ranging from red-violet and yellow.
But before you could take in the scenery longer, your mom was tackled by a mass of yellow and orange.
"[M/N]! YOU CAME! YOU CAME!"
A face of dread immediately appeared on [M/n]'s face, she didn't seem pleased at the two people that just hugged her. A small blinding sun was hovering behind the three, so it was hard to tell who surprise attacked your mom.
The hug she was trapped in almost stopped her airflow, "Ugh— Pepa— Félix— m-my lu-u-NGS— can't...breathe."
Félix let go of her, he didn't know why he did that. His instincts told him to. The moment he saw [M/n] enter, he just wanted to have her in his arms. Just like he did with Pepa.
Pepa, however, didn't let go. She hasn't seen [M/n] since the incident. And she's been wanting her back in her arms, where she belongs.
If [M/n] didn't come to the ceremony, she would've canceled the whole thing right then and there.
"I'm so glad you're here!" Pepa's smile grew brighter and brighter, and just like her smile, the sun behind her grew brighter too. Due to the sun, [M/n] had to close her eyes, for she feared she might go blind or something, "I'm glad I'm here too, Pepa. Could you uh, turn down the sun? I can't see you."
"Oh yeah! Right right." Pepa lowered her smile and the sun disappeared. It was only then did [M/n] notice Pepa's eyebags, "Uh Pepa? What's with those eye bags—"
"Never mind that! We have to get going!" Pepa linked arms with [M/n] and started heading towards a reddish-orange curtain.
"Wait, get going to where?" [M/n] tried to unlink arms with Pepa, but Pepa was determined to not let her go. "Oh, you're going to stand with us at Antonio's soon-to-be room!"
"Is that even allowed--"
"Well you did it at Mirabel's one, so it's only fair if you do it again now, right?"
"Yeah but--"
"No buts! We're wasting time!"
Pepa dragged your mom into the curtain, leaving you to stand alone with Félix. He coughed into his hand and turned to you, "Sorry about that, enjoy your night, [M/n]." Then he left to reunite his wife.
"Uhh gracias?"
You explored Casita for a bit before you found your very good friend, Mariano, standing with his mom.
"Beunas Mariano, buenas noches Señora Guzmán."
Ms. Guzmán turned to you with surprise, "Ah! Buenas noches [Y/n]! How are you this evening?"
"Oh I'm doing well, and you?"
"I'm doing splendidly!" Ms. Guzmán turned to her son and whispered in his ear, "I'm glad you are friends with such a polite person."
Mariano chuckled lightly before his mom started speaking again, "Well, I'll leave you two to talk. Have a nice night [Y/n]!" His mom walked off to a random place in the house.
You leaned on the wall Mariano was standing by. Isabella was in front of you both dancing hypnotically by a small crowd.
Mariano sighed a sigh that seemed like he was in love, "She's so beautiful, isn't she?"
"Mhm. You know, I think you and her would be a great match." You sneered playfully.
"Pfft, what makes you say that?" He smiled at you, thinking you were joking.
"I'm serious."
You weren't.
"My big dumb hunk of a friend marrying the Encanto's most beautiful flower. It's like a match made in heaven."
Just then, a [f/f] flower crown plopped itself onto your head. Your eyes widened a bit before you turned to look at Isabella. She had a warm smile on her face that was directed to you and you only. You gently smiled back.
You took off your flower crown and tried placing it on Mariano's head. You thought it'd fit his head as it did with yours, but it missed his head and landed around his neck instead.
You and him stared at each other for a bit before you both burst out laughing.
Isabella was watching the interaction, and she didn't like it one bit.
Her loving smile turned into a distasteful frown of rage. She specifically placed the flower crown to fit your head, not anybody else's. She specifically bloomed [f/f] for you, not for anybody else.
Seeing somebody else wear the flower crown she made you made her feel extremely angry, the more she stared at your crown that was on Mariano, the more she wanted it to wither. She didn't care if it was heartless, she just wanted it to shrivel up and die.
And it did just that.
The once beautiful string of [f/f] was now shriveled with an ugly muddy color as it faded, which shocked you and Mariano.
Isabella too was shocked at what she had done, but one side of her was proud of her work.
That should show you not to share with anybody else but her.
