{Kokonoi Hajime x Fem!Reader}

“When are you going to tell him?” Inui questioned you, handing you a glass of soda. Music played loudly at the bar Kisaki had rented for the Toman anniversary party, everyone mingling amongst one another.

You have been to a few of these events with Kokonoi. You had been friends with him and Inui since you were in middle school, the three of you going through hell and back with each other. While you weren’t part of Toman, you did accompany Hajime to functions now and then. Inui being there was just a plus. You got to spend time with both of your friends.

However, your relationship with Koko was different from your relationship with Inui. After a long night of drinking at the anniversary party two years ago, the two of you wound up in bed together. Instead of agreeing to forget it ever happened, you did the opposite. Now, the two of you fooled around fairly often. It was your typical situation where you agreed to not fuck up the friendship and catch feelings. Also typical in the sense that you did catch feelings.

You knew you had to tell him, especially as you watched him flirt with some perky little brunette leaning against the bartop. Inui knew you had these feelings, but he didn’t know the full situation. Either way, you went about it, you’d lose your best friend.

Inui followed your gaze, sighing when he saw what you did, “I have an idea.”

He threw his arm over your shoulder, walking over to Chifuyu, Mitchy, and Mitsuya who were just several feet from Koko. As soon as you approached, you heard Mitchy say, “And then they destroyed my childhood memories!”

The boys laughed, Inui laughing louder than all of them. Your face went red when you realized what he was doing. He was trying to get Hajime’s attention. You sighed, knowing this was not going to end well. For you or Inui, you didn’t know. This wasn’t an option you had explored before, the one where you tried to make him jealous.

The sound of laughter definitely caught Hajime’s attention, forcing him to look away from the woman he was talking to when he heard yours amongst everyone else’s. Seeing you with Inui’s arm around your shoulder isn’t what threw him. Having your arm around his waist did. He watched carefully as Inui led you away, going to talk to the next group of people.

Seishu almost laughed when he saw the murderous look in Koko’s eyes. Of course, he was immediately on guard. Whether or not Koko realized it, he felt the same way as you did. It wasn’t hard to figure out as he watched the two of you make rounds. It ignited something in Kokonoi as he watched Inui flirt with you and hold you like you were his. But, it’s not like you were Hajime’s either.

You were having fun just talking to everyone, relaxing as you reacquainted yourself with the top executives. Koko could tell that much just by how wide your smile was. For a second, he almost forgot about the woman standing next to him. She was some big wig from another corporation, trying to talk to him about the company’s assets. People like her were invited to keep up appearances from the organized crime going on behind the face of Toman. Small talk was definitely part of it, but this girl was trying to take it a step further.

It seemed that Inui was too.

Koko watched in horror as his best friend’s lips crashed against yours. Smiley, Hakkai, and Hanma all cheered and raised glasses at the sight, having egged it on, to begin with. It was Hanma’s idea for Inui to kiss you after asking why you two were walking around like the new ‘it’ couple.
