15: Vallerine's Birthday

Next Day.Dawn, Sephora Market

        Sara and Parfait goes to the market to buy for their breakfast

Parfait: I thought the people are storing food for winter? Buying food during winter is dangerous
Sara: except ours, Suzette's maids are very lazy to buy a lot of food to store for this season
Parfait: they should be fired, they are not doing their job very well ... I saw a lot of food on the fridge but I don't know the food, when you look at them it seems it's inedible
Sara: You said it! and we cannot just feed them frozen ones ... *sigh father told me last night that the cook (not Par) makes dishes all over again, repeat repeat repeat as if there's no other food *grunts* ... Good thing you are here and by the way, father thinks that you look like Ms Apricot
Parfait: Apricot?
Sara: he told me that you look like her and she cooks delicious dishes as yours, he felt sad when she left
Parfait: I see ... Ms Sara, I saw sausages
Sara: Go to that lady wearing crimson-colored sweater, the sausages are better

        They bought sausages and other food. Later on, they went home

Morning. Royal Palace

        Sara and Parfait goes back from the house. The whole family wakes up and there will have a announcement (bad news!)

Suzette: I have an announcement, I let the maids go home to have vacation leave, therefore the four maids of Vallerine will serve us this time
Vallerine: Serve Yourself!! These are my guests, not maids! If they will work as maids, Father,Sara and I will be their masters, excluding you and Jacqueline
Suzette: You respect these pathetic maids more than me, I'm your step mother
Vallerine: SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S THE WORD RESPECT SUZETTE! YOU DON'T KNOW!!!

        Vallerine and Suzette stop

Pearl: We can serve here Princess
Vallerine: No! You are not maids here, you are our guests and Suzette don't act like an evil witch
Suzette: YOU UGLY BRAT YOU JUST CALLED ME A WITCH?!
Vallerine: OBVIOUSLY!! WHAT, ARE YOU GOING TO SLAP ME? SLAP ME IF YOU CAN!!

        Suzette lifts her hand and Parfait stops her. They are glaring at each other. A moment of silence occurs. Until,

Lun: A sausage, a sunny side up egg and latte is served!!!

Suzette: You have no right to stop me of doing what I want, this is my house!!
Parfait: but you have no right to hurt her
Suzette: *gasp (takes her hand off from Parfait) this is not over yet cook!

        Suzette walks away. Jacqueline thinks of following her but decides to remain with the rest of the girls

Parfait: you may follow her Ms Jacqueline
Jacqueline: I'd rather eat
Parfait: Princess, you shouldn't yell at her even she's--

        Vallerine glares at Parfait

Parfait: I mean, to maintain the peace of this house
Vallerine: *sigh 

        On the next days, Rion invites Vallerine to a dinner or bonding, it seems successful. During those times, Pearl and Parfait background check Rion and Suzette. The days of winter is nothing special, it's like an ordinary day until...

Some Days Later. One Day before Vallerine's Birthday

Vallerine (in her bedroom, reading a book): Par, can I talk to you?
Parfait (in the kitchen, making waffles): Yes Princess after I finished these waffles. By the way, what flavor do you want? I have strawberry, syrup with butter, choco-
Vallerine: Strawberry, just strawberry
Parfait: Okay! 

        the other cook (Suzette's cook) comes in

cook: Ms Parfait?
Parfait: Yes? 
cook: I don't like the way you cook, I mean you make things to impress them
Parfait: what's wrong with that? I'm a culinary arts graduate, I am Princess Vallerine's cook, I can cook and I love to cook  (placing waffles and strawberries to the plate)  I'm not making food for them to be impressed!  (arranging strawberries on the waffles)  if I were you, you cook something delicious and not cook it again and again that you'll making King Falcon tired of eating it (get's Vallerine's plate  and walks away)

        Parfait leaves the cook in the kitchen. And she gets inside of Vallerine's room.

Parfait: Princess
Vallerine (holding photo album): thank goodness!
Parfait: Princess, the lady on the picture is Queen Mara
Vallerine: Yes, my mother, she really looks like Sara ... (starts to eat) I missed homemade waffles, Mother makes best waffles though she's a terrible cook
Parfait: ouch! you're hurting your mother's feelings
Vallerine: she admits it *laughs*
Parfait: !! ... Princess, I never seen your mother
Vallerine: she's dead after my 19th birthday, that's the reason why we fled to Victoria (begins to cry) I missed her so much ... she is a queen who loves gardening, tea party *sniff I even wish that she's still alive, she's the best woman I ever met
Parfait: *sniff
Vallerine: why you're crying?
Parfait: I cry also when someone cries and I miss my mom ... Ms Sara told me that your birthday is tomorrow
Vallerine: I don't want to celebrate 
Parfait: why?
Vallerine: ... my 19th birthday, the food was mixed with poison, everybody in Sephora was food poisoned including us. Father, Sara, me and some villagers were saved except some people and my mother. After that, a treason took place, my father's trusted friend and Cyphrea betrayed him and he had a plot to kill all of us. Father declared a war, he sent us in a far place to hide ... since that 19th birthday, I'm not thinking to celebrate it
Parfait: now I know...
Vallerine (shows Parfait the picture): Look, it's my mother and Ms Apricot! wait, she looks like you
Parfait: No! we are not related
Vallerine: Father told me that Ms Apricot lives in Provence, where is it?
Parfait (goes to the globe, turns it and points): here Princess, it's almost near in Victoria
Vallerine: I'll go there!
Parfait: what?!

Next Day.  Vallerine's birthday

        Due to the snowstorm. Vallerine's birthday will be held inside the palace. Vallerine didn't invite people, she decided to celebrate with her family and her 4 friends or better yet, no celebration will happen

        Parfait and Muffin prepares a cake while Pearl and Sara makes a lot of food. Afterwards, Lun brings the cake to Vallerine

Lun: Happy Birthday Princess
Vallerine: what's happy about this day, I'm 25, in two months I will get married to the person I don't love ... I don't want to celebrate
Lun: even you don't want to celebrate, you can blow these candles, these candles represent wishes. You can say 25 wishes ... Make A Wish!

       Vallerine's wishes : to have peace in Sephora, no more conflict ; I will not be married to Rion ; I will find someone who will complete me ; the truth will prevail ; I will be taller ;  good health ; blessings; that the four maids will stay with me ; and so forth....

        Vallerine blows the candles

Parfait, Sara, Muffin,Pearl: YAY!!! (throws confetti)
Lun: we can see that you're sad, so we make things to cheer you up
Vallerine: that's very sweet♥ thank you so much ... now, let's eat!

        Vallerine, Sara and the 4 maids start to eat. After that, they play games and make things to kill time.
        Hours later, Rion comes to the house

Rion: Vallerine, Happy Birthday

Sara: you don't have manners, she's a princess! and you, you don't deserve to be her prince!
Vallerine: Sara, don't fight him, I invited him
Sara: for real?
Vallerine: Yah  ... Rion, let's eat cake

        Sara was surprised. Suzette smiles

Lun (whispering): Par, I think this is over, the Princess decided to marry Rion, she cannot refuse to her father's wish
Parfait: This is not over yet, I cannot let her fall into the trap 

Vallerine: Girls!! I'll open my presents!
Rion (gives the gift to Val): Here's my present (kneels and open the ring box) Will you marry me??
Vallerine: Yes Yes!!!

       An engagement happens, Sara goes out from the scene with disgust. The 4 maids (pretend) to cheer for them.

       Sara goes to the room, pissed. Pearl follows her

Pearl (opens the door): Ms Sara!
Sara: Grrr!!! Why did you cheer for them?! Look, it's disgusting!
Pearl: I know but we pretended to cheer for those two, to fit the atmosphere ... since our plan is working, let it continue

        Some Days Later, winter is over. The arrangements for the wedding takes place. Sara designs for the wedding dress, Suzette serves as the wedding organizer. The maids are also making a plan to stop the wedding or to stop the princess from misery.
