Roman's P.O.V

Seeing my baby boy made my heart stop. He was so beautiful. Looking down at him laying on Hope, tears came to my eyes. I didn't want to see anything bad happen to these two.
Once we were home, I had Hope lay down to get some rest while I took care of Sage. I never knew how much I wanted to be a dad until I laid eyes on my son.

Laying Sage down in the bassinet, I walked over to the kitchen to make lunch until I heard footsteps. I vamp sped back over to the bassinet and held the stranger who was about to kidnap my baby by the throat.

"Who are you?" I yelled as the dark veins appeared under my eyes.

The other guy snarled at me as we both fought each other in my living room.

The sound of us crashing against the walls was so loud it woke up Sage who was wailing at the top of his lungs.

I then felt the man's hand clasp my throat as my vision grew blurry. Suddenly, he was ripped from me and thrown against the wall. Looking up, I saw Hope standing there.

"It's not nice to drop by uninvited, Stefan." She said.

Stefan? Wait, what?

"I'm not Stefan." The man said in a low voice. "The name is Kaius."

"Then you must know that I am the Tribrid and nothing can kill me." She said.

"True. But did that tea taste funny to you?" He asked.

"No!" I said, rushing to her side as she collapsed in my arms.

"Wolfsbane." She muttered.

"What the hell do you want?!"

"The girl....... and the baby." He smiled, smugly.

"Over my dead body." Hope groaned.

"That can be arranged. Your father is already preparing to make you his sacrifice."

Just then the door opened and in walked Alaric with his crossbow and Lizzie and Josie.

"Party's over."

Kaius narrowed his eyes at all of us. "This isn't over! There will be more of us to take the blood from your son."
He then vamp sped away as Lizzie and Josie helped Hope out and I ran to the door.

"It's not worth chasing after him." Alaric said.

"But what if we can find out where he and the others are hiding, then we can end this once and for all." I said.

"It's not gonna work." Hope said, groaning. "When my father doesn't want to be found, he will make sure nobody knows."

"So, Kaius looked so much like Stefan. How is that possible?" I asked.

"It must be another doppelgänger of Stefan's, which means Damon probably let him in at one point." Alaric said.

"Where is Damon?" Lizzie asked.

"He's still MIA, trying to break from Klaus' sire." Alaric said.

Hope snorted. "Good luck with that. My father wants something from Damon, and that's me and Sage. So, what if we turn each other over?"

"No, no way." I protested.

"Roman, I know my father more than anyone. He probably just wants to see his grandson, and having Damon sired with his hybrid minions is his twisted way  of getting what he wants."

I sighed. She was stubborn like her father. "Fine. On one condition, we kill Klaus."

"You can't kill an original." Hope said.

"Actually, you can." Alaric said. "The white oak stake."

"Well, I've never seen it." She said.
"I know someone who has."

Hope's P.O.V

Sitting across the table from my Aunt Rebekah at Starbucks, things were a little tense.

"So, you want to kill my brother. Why?" She asked.

"He's making hybrids with doppelgänger blood." Roman said.

Her face dropped and eyes widened. "Have you stopped him yet?"

Her voice echoed with fear in it.

"No, we were wondering if you can." I said.

"If he's already planning this, then there's no way to stop him. The hybrids will just grow in numbers." She said.

"What can we do?" Alaric asked.

Rebekah sighed while looking at her nephew who was sitting on my lap and playing with my bracelet.

"Nothing." She said. "These hybrids will keep coming after you and your son."

I sighed, looking down at my baby. This was so unfair.

"Then, we fight." I said.

"Good luck with that." Rebekah said. "I'll arrange the funeral once they have what they want."

Rebekah got up and walked out the door.

'You don't come into my house and threaten the people that I care about. Bad move.'
