You open your eyes to be greeted by the early morning sunshine, you look at the alarm clock, it was just past seven. You stretch and look over to Camilo, he was still lightly snoring. For the past 6 years you have woken up next to the love of your life, and yet your heart still leaps out of your chest every time you see him, his frizzy golden brown hair, and his thick eyelashes that cast shadows across his face.  "Camilo, we should get up now."

His eyes peel open and he rubs them, "good morning, my dandelion," he grumbles "do we have to get up yet?" he traps you in his arms.

"No, not yet, love." you breathe as your face is pressed against his warm, bare skin.

"How is he?" he says, as his fingers drop down and stroke your stomach. You were exactly 9 months pregnant.

"Ugh, he's such a pain, probably just excited to meet his father." You press your forehead against his forehead "oh, you will be such a great dad." You sigh.

"I hope," he says kissing your palm as it trailed all around his face. "You know I'm really scared."

"Yeah, me too."

"I'm scared what will happen to us," you look at him in confusion "what if the baby splits us up?"

"Camilo Madrigal, dont ever say that." You say in shock.

"___, I'm just saying. What if..."

You bring a finger up to his lips, "I heard you the first time, don't say it again." You bit your lip "I love you, so much. Yes. we will have disagreements but we will get through them."

He takes a deep breath, "you're right."

As if it wasn't clear enough, you hold a kiss on his lips for a few seconds, "I really love you, and I think you are perfect." He smiles back at you making you wanna kiss him more.

"I love you,___. I wouldn't marry just anyone," he says with cockiness.

-

You were carrying the laundry basket down the stairs. "AHH!" you cry out, and clench your stomach, dropping the basket with yours and Camilo's clothes, dropping them everywhere. You clutch the beam, "Camilo!" you holler.

Dolores darts over to your aid, __," she squeals.

"Please, get..." you choke on your words as your chest tightens, "Camilo, get him."

Camilo rushes out and instantly falls to his knees. You start to panic as waves of pain twists your stomach. "Camilo," you shriek, your face is red and hot tears stream down.

"I know love, we're leaving," he says trying to get you up.

On the way to the hospital, it felt like hours, you were too cold, too hot. Your screams would fill his ears. He starts to panic too but tries to mask it. "Camilo, this is unbearable. What if I don't make it?"

Camilo blinks back tears 'what if I don't make it?' As his visions blurs. Your body is covered with a pure white sheet being whisked away into another room. His world fell apart and his heart broke into unnameable pieces.

He shakes out of his daze "Yes, you will" your hand tightens around his, as a fresh wave of pain rolls in your stomach.

Eight hours later, you're finally calmed and rested in the hospital bed. Camilo's heart is put at ease seeing your sleeping form. "Gosh, you are too perfect for this world ___ Madrigal." Your perfect baby boy is sleeping in your arms, wrapped up in a blue blanket. Camilo hadn't gotten to see his son yet, you were both sleeping so peacefully and he didn't want to disturb you.

"Hi," you croaked as your eyes pop open.

"Are you okay?" he asked, putting his hand on your belly.

You nod, as you look up into his dazzling eyes, you lift the baby in your arms. His eyes open as he laughs and tilts his head in curiosity; you know his eyes arent fully developed and he can't really see you, but he can tell your his parents. "Hi angel, I'm your mummy," you say cradling him in your arms. "This is your daddy." You pass him to Camilo.

"He's so perfect," Camilo says to you. "Just like you" He looks at his baby as he admires the curly blonde hair, his brown eyes that were almost identical to yours if it wasn't for the splodge of green in his right eye he got from Camilo.

"Welcome to the world little, Marco." You say "I'm so excited to show him to the family."

Camilo snuggles on the bed next to you, "I've got such a beautiful family. Thank you my dandelion" he says dipping his head down to your lips.

"For what?" you ask

"For loving me. Staying with me. Giving me a reason to be alive. Giving me this beautiful little boy." He says "I'm so grateful."

This moment was so sweet, so effortlessly perfect. Camilo cradled your face as you rest on his chest, the baby was sleeping so peacefully in his father's arms. The beautiful, kind, charming aura of your perfect husband made you so warm.

No doubt that together you could reach the stars, but having your feet firmly on the ground is a different height after all. Not all love stories have happy endings. But yours did.
