Absolute pandemonium was unfolding in the ship cabins. Duni tore through pillows as of he's find Don and Dick hiding in the stuffing, and DDawn tried all he could to stop Duni from vandalizing anything more. Dashlie paced in her room, trying to collect her thoughts and present the image that she wasn't bothered, but one glance into her mind tipped off the fact she was absolutely panicking. She didn't actually expect Richard and Don to go off on their own, she hadn't expected them to act so brash. But then again, she did the same when Duni ordered her to stay put. Maybe it was the pure stubbornness and natural urge to rebel against one another that urged each of them to disobey. Dashlie inhaled and exhaled, pausing in the middle of the room and feeling the ship softly tilt as the storm passed.
Meanwhile, Duni once more slammed the conjoining door open and rushed in the room on all fours like some sort of rabid ape, if such a thing exists. He jumped up on Dashlie's bed and clawed at the sheets, sticking his head into the hard mattress as if he'd find his two missing friends there the second time. Shortly after Duni entered, DDawn stumbled in after him, his large hands grabbing at Duni to try and stop him from creating more chaos.
And, finally, Dashlie had had enough. "STOP IT!!!" she yelled, whirling around to face the frozen, startled images of Duni in the middle of tearing at the bedsheets and DDawn reaching for him. "Tearing this place apart won't do anything! They are obviously somewhere else other than here! And, Duni, I don't know why you think any of them would be in the bedsheets or pillows, but come on. Get your sh*t together!"
Duni slowly crawled off the bed, DDawn hovering over him like a helicopter parent to their child. Dashlie furrowed her eyebrows as the werewolf coughed up a feather and a soft, incomprehensible mumble came from the deep sea diver. She sighed, shoulders tense. "Now, I suggest we go out there and find them. One of us can stay in here in case they turn up. DDawn, maybe?" she said. "Either way, we can't just stay in here and keep panicking. We need to take action."
Both monsters seemed to look at her with surprise, and Duni expressed that emotion as such. "Wow, Dashlie. Didn't expect that to come from you of all people," he commented. The woman rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, whatever. Let's just get going before Dick and Don turn this ship upside down—"
But before anything could be done, there was a sharp knock at the door, quickly followed by a voice chirping, "Room Service!"
Silence fell immediately, and soon after everyone panicked.
"Did you remove the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, Dashlie???"
"Of course not! And I'm pretty sure Room Service ignores that sign anyways, so it doesn't matter!"
"Mmmmmph! Mmmm mmmmphhh mmmm!"
"Then what's the point of having it anyways? Can a guest not spend their entire cruise in their room???"
"I think there's a certain amount days or hours that can go by before they have reason to enter the room in case you're, you know, dead."
"But we aren't dead!"
"Mmmmph!"
"Yeah but we will be!"
Then, suddenly, the door handle rattled, shortly followed by a whir, a click, and then the handle turned. Each monster jumped back in shock as the door opened, their breaths hitched in suspense as they awaited their ultimate demise the moment the poor room service maid spotted them.
However, that didn't happen. Instead, Don of all people appeared, Dick of course following behind him (and behind him? A cat). "What's good, peeps," greeted Don, throwing up a finger gun.
Once again, silence filled the room as relief and shock somehow coincided with the others. Don's eyes scanned over the group as the door shut behind him. He was waiting for the moment when one of them would explode, and eventually that did happen, to no surprise.
