Whether it was by pure coincidence or a fact that Duni had forgotten about, the young man, or werewolf at this moment, was relieved to see some of the cruise-goers dressed in Halloween costumes for the upcoming holiday. Because of this, Duni and DDawn were able to blend in without being spared any freakish screams or worried glances. The only thing that really slowed them down was when people kept stopping DDawn to compliment him on his "costume." It was a good thing he had a helmet. That way, no one could see him every time he glared at someone approaching for the thousandth time to compliment him.
"Right, so we're looking for clues..." started Duni as DDawn and him entered the main lobby. "Maybe we can start by searching for the main characters?"
"Mmmm mmmfp mmfphh," said DDawn, and Duni sighed.
"I know that it's almost impossible to just happen to run into the main characters or even be able to find them when we don't even know if they are on here, but... what's the harm in trying, right?"
"Mmm mm mm mmmm mpphh."
Duni stopped and looked up at DDawn, furrowing his eyebrows. "Well, what else should we look for, huh? Got any ideas?" Duni sassed, annoyed with DDawn's attitude.
DDawn went silent.
"That's what I thought," said Duni before turning and continuing walking. He looked back at DDawn and narrowed his eyes. "You know, you talk to me like you know what you're doing. Has it even hit you yet that you're translucent?"
"Mmmm mmmmpphhh... errrrbbhhhhhppphhh duhhhduuhhhhh... E DAAABBBHHHHPPPHHH APHHHH ADDDDD!"
Duni gasped, eyes wide. "DDawn! What an incredibly rude thing to say about another human being!"
"Mmmphh ddd aakk uuuppphh..." muttered DDawn, but Duni didn't hear him.
"So, where should we look? I'd say this main lobby is a good start. There's a fair amount of people."
"Dddhhh bbbhhh kkllll—"
"I know the chances of just running into the main characters is slim, but I mean, there's always a—!" Duni was cut off as he rammed into someone so hard he knocked them off their feet. The werewolf stopped and turned, eyes wide in panic. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, I didn't see—"
Duni cut himself off this time. He looked down at the person in shock, surprised he happened to run into him for the second time. A smile spread across his face, and his eyes lit up.
"Uni! We meet again! Here, let me help you up..." he said, and Uni surprisingly took his hand. Duni pulled him back up, apologizing once again.
"It's fine," sighed Uni, rubbing his elbow. Duni flushed red and gave him a sheepish smile.
"So... what are you doing up so early...?" started Duni, wanting to make small talk.
"I mean... it's almost seven... not that early..." mumbled Uni, rubbing his eyes. He clearly didn't want to talk right now, but Duni didn't pick up on this.
"I suppose you're right... Say, are you doing anything later today—?"
Suddenly, and at the same time, both DDawn and the friends standing behind Uni cleared their throat. Duni looked past Uni, as he hadn't seen them. That was when he noticed the clothes Uni, Nick, Ashlie, Jon, and Dawn were wearing.
Uni wasn't wearing his giraffe hoodie like he usually did, which was already a red flag. Instead, he was wearing a light blue sweater over a white button-up shirt, a little ascot tie tucked into it. Duni couldn't help but think Uni looked absolutely adorable in that outfit, and he couldn't help but blush a little.
