Shantii started ducking & dodging me for a few months and I really didn't understand why. Whenever I'd call her, our conversations were short and there wasn't much to talk about. I asked Granny if she'd seen Dre at his house at all but she said she didn't know. Me and Shantii had both been really busy the past few months so we never really got any time to hang out with each other so one day I decided to call her & see if she'd let me come over. I got up & got dressed then I grabbed my phone off the bed and let it call Shantii. It rang a few times then I heard Shantii say "Hello.." Me: "Hey Tii... You ight?" Shantii sniffled & cleared her throat then she said "Yeah.. I can't be onna phone rn NaNa, I'm busy." Me: "Are you sure you good? I been wantin to see you." Shantiu: "I promise I'm fine." Me: "Can I come see you?" Shantii: "Ion know if right now's a good time..."
I sighed and she said "I'm sorry.. I gotta go. I love you NaNa." Me: "I love you too.. Bye" She hung up then I stared at the floor and shook my head. I grabbed my keys and purse then I went downstairs and went over to Dre's house. I got out and knocked on the door then a talll skinny dude with short dreads opened the door. He smiled at me and said "Damn shawty whatchu doin over here" Me: "Where's Dre at?" Man: "Why you needa know?" Me: "Cus he's my sister's boyfriend. Where is he" The dude raised his eyebrows then he said "Ohhh you Shantii's sister" Me: "Yes. Where's Dre" Man: "He in here." Me: "Can you tell em to come here please" Man: "Yeah. Imma be back." Me: "Thank you." He nodded and walked off then I sighed and tried calling Shantii again. She didn't answer so I called again then she picked up & said "Nadia 😐"
Me: "Shantii I'm worried about you.." Shantii sighed heavily then she said "NaNa I'm fine. Ion need you blowin my phone up, leave me alone please." Me: "Are you crying?? What's wrong Shantii?" Shantii: "Nothing... I'm fine" Me: "If you cryin then you ain't fine Shantii. What's wrong 😐" She started crying then she said "Nadia I just want you to leave me alone.." Me: "Why you crying" Shantii: "Stop calling me please. I love you." She hung up & I pulled my phone away from my ear then I said "Fuck..." I started knocking on Dre's door but nobody answered. I knocked harder then I said "Dre! Where tf you at!" I spent a few minutes beating on the door until it swung open and Dre stood there putting his jacket on.
Dre: "What? 😐 Why you beatin onna door?" Me: "Cus I needa figure out what da fuck is wrong wit my sister" Dre: "Ion know whatchu mean." Me: "Nigga I've barely seen her these past few months. The last time I seen her was a few weeks ago and it wasn't even for that long." He shrugged & said "Dat ain't my problem. Dats something you & Tii needa work out" Me: "Why tf is she cryin rn?" Dre: "Ion know." Me: "Nigga she's yo girlfriend, whatchu mean youn know?" He shrugged again and said "Ion know Nadia. You can gon head about yo business now cus I ain't boutta stand here and be interrogated." Me: "Where is Shantii at" Dre: "Ion know" I balled my hands up and exhaled then I punched his door and walked off the porch. Dre: "Aye! Chill!" Me: "Fuck you!" Dre: "Da fuck did I do!" I stuck my middle finger up and got in my car then I pulled off and drove to Shantii's house.
I parked a little bit down the street then I picked my phone up & called Dre. Dre: "Mane what?" Me: "You been puttin yo hands on my sister?" Dre: "What??" Me: "Have you been puttin yo hands on my sister?" Dre: "No. Did she tell you I did??" Me: "Oh so you did? Ight." Dre: "Nadia no, look-" Me: "If I go innis house and see ANY typa mark on my sister, dats gon be yo ass Dre. I mean it" Dre: "Nigga let me fuckin explain dis shit to you!" I hung up & got out of the car then I walked up to Shantii's house and knocked on the door. I heard the steps creaking inside then Shantii said "I'm coming baby... Gimme a second" The locks started clicking then the door opened and Shantii said "Nadia??" I looked at her stomach and seen that it was round then I peeked inside and seen a few baby things on the couch.
