Ximena bit her lip as the plane landed smoothly on the runway.

"Miss" the flight attendant spoke "We have landed"

"T-Thank you" she smiled weakly as her blue-green eyes fixated on her shoes.

She never looked people in the eyes out of fear and discomfort. The flight attendant made an attempt to take her pale pink suitcase and backpack which she had placed at her back making her flinch.

Her anxiety was piqued and so was her fear. She was always afraid to be without her family and never was so this was all too new for her.

"N-N-No I-I'm fine" she shook her head frantically making the flight attendant nod and leave.

She let out a sigh as she walked out of her private jet. Yes, her private jet. Her parents had bought it for her on her sixth birthday and she marvelled over the huge aircraft. As soon as she turned fifteen she denied it and tried to sell it and give the money to charity but the hurt look on her parents face made her refrain from taking such drastic measures.

She had chosen for it to be the colour red as a child and decided not to change it. She adjusted her bright green skirt that got to her knees and smiled softly.

"Hello Oxford" she whispered to herself as she clutched her necklaces.

Although she was surrounded by love she couldn't help but feel hollow and broken. She woke up every day, restless after a tiring and horrific night. She couldn't remember the last time she had a proper night of sleep. Bounded to her home all her life by two shielding and vigilant parents, eight shattered over-protective older brothers and a thick layer of security everywhere she went she came to the terms that she would never escape the cage she called her home.

Until she turned eighteen.

Her father constantly made sure that they had the best education and once they turned eighteen he finally allowed them to leave home and go to any University their heart desired. No matter what they wanted he would be able to fulfil.
Independence from her family always seemed close to unattainable and she was aware that her father didn't want to send her out into the world but much to her surprise she found herself on a plane to the United Kingdoms.
She certainly wasn't prepared for the whirlwind of tribulations she was going to face, who knew heartbreak would be one of them but she is an Alonso-Garza and even though the world fucked them up they always survived.

Hi guys. This is a snippet of the first chapter of "Finding Ambrose". I am so sorry that it took so long. I just got to school and wrote an exam so yeah, it's been tough. It is less than a year for me to complete, so I'm happy about that. Please check out "Finding Ambrose" on my profile. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you.
