FOUR, maryjane

"what the fuck is that smell?" elliot's cousin, ziayla, scrunched her face up when she entered her apartment for the first time in four days. it reeked of weed and the tv in the living room was so loud that she could have sworn she heard it all the way outside.
she rolled her eyes once walked through the kitchen and entered the living room to see liana and elliot sprawled out on the couch. liana was drooling on elliot's shoulder and elliot's head rested on top of lianas with his arms wrapped around her.
ziayla could have swooned at the sight of the two teenagers if it wasn't a tuesday and if they weren't extremely late for school.
she placed her bag down and walked over to the coffee table, grabbing the remote and shutting the television off. then, she walked over to liana and shook her gently awake. "liana babe, you both got school." she whispered. liana groaned and tossed around before opening her eyes.
liana would've been freaked out by some random lady shaking her awake, but she always kept it in mind that the apartment was elliot's cousins and not his. she was confused about how she knew her name, though.
in truth, elliot talked about liana a lot to ziayla. it got to a point in their discussions where she would jokingly call liana his girlfriend but he wouldn't even bother to object.
after shaking liana awake, she walked over to shake elliot who wasn't budging a bit. his arms wrapped tighter around liana, thinking she was the one who was trying to wake him. "mm, stop trying to leave me." elliot muttered, pulling her closer to him. liana and ziayla giggled before liana reached to the side of the couch, grabbing a throw pillow and hitting elliot with it.
he sat up quickly, shaking his head and looking at the two. "what the fuck?!" he asked. "you guys are late for school!" ziayla said, pointing to the clock on the wall.
liana had stayed the night a few times that week. elliot wouldn't dare to complain, since he really did like her company. but that night, they had gotten so high that elliot forgot that his cousin was coming home the next day from her trip with her tinder match.
plus, they actually were really fuckin' late. they had already missed about two of their classes and were nearly halfway done with their third, and liana began to wonder if it was even worth going at all. but elliot had decided that they were both going.
elliot stood up, still half asleep but dragged liana up with him. "alright, let's go." he dragged her by the hand to his room. "you need some clothes, liana?" ziayla called out. before liana could answer, elliot did it for her. "she's gonna borrow some of mine." he said. liana couldn't even object before she was pulled into elliot's room with a closed door behind her.
she turned to elliot, who made his way to his nightstand. he pulled out a pack of aspirin and ripped it open with his teeth, shaking out the two pills. he opened a water bottle too, making his way over to liana. "open," he said. she opened her mouth, elliot popping the aspirin in and then filling her mouth with water. he did the same to himself once she was done.
"look in my closet, take whatever." he said, his mouth still full of water. he walked to the other side of his room, picking a random pair of pants off of his floor and deciding to stay in the same t-shirt liana had drooled on. liana quickly shuffled through a lot of his clothes, deciding to keep her cargo pants on but putting on one of elliot's oversized tees.
elliot was done changing by the time liana picked out a shirt, turning around to see her in just her bra and pants. he quickly turned away, "shit, sorry." he said. "i don't care if you look," she said softly, elliot turning his head back slowly. but by the time he did, she had slipped the shirt on.
elliots face turned red, although he tried his best to hide it. liana didn't seem to notice it though, picking her backpack up off of elliot's floor and slinging it over her shoulder. "i look gross." she frowned, walking over to where he was by his mirror to check herself out. "you look like me." he said. "yeah, i look gross."
elliot rolled his eyes, "shut up, stay here. i have to go ask my cousin if she can give us a ride." he said, liana nodding as he slipped out of his room quickly and into the living room where ziayla was now seated on the couch, watching tv and smoking a joint elliot had left on the table from the night prior.
she smirked when she saw elliot, whose cheeks were still red from the incident with liana in his bedroom. "letting your girlfriend borrow your clothes, huh?" she asked. "you never let me touch your closet and you're letting liana wear something from it? that crazy, kid." she joked. he gave her a look, "cut it out. can you give us a ride to school?" he asked.
ziayla placed the joint protectively in her mouth as she reached for her bag and tossed him her card keys, "you take her. i'm off for the day." she said. elliot muttered a small thanks to his cousin before going back to his room, where liana was perched on his bed with her backpack on and elliot's backpack right next to her.
he held up the car keys with a big smile on his face. "let's go, i'm driving." he said. she raised a brow suspiciously, "do you even have your license?" she asked. "a real one?" liana nodded. "no."
liana tossed her head back, "oh god, please don't kill us."
