After visiting the hospital, Woozi dropped me home before heading back.
.

My night went by in turns and tumults. Could there be some way I could help the two?

.
.
While silence guarded the mansion, there was one person who barely had any sound sleep since two days.

Jun's eyes flicked open for the umpteenth time as he saw a blurry figure sitting right next to his bed.

It was Woozi. What was he doing so late at night?

"Good thing you're up", Woozi mentioned subtly.

"Wo... Woozi?", Jun confirmed.

"I know everything that happened between you two.
You're the reason Wonwoo is on the verge of life or death right now", Woozi sternly asserted.

"WHAT?", Jun's breath hitched and before he knew, his eyes threw open.
Was it a dream?
Why was it so real?
Jun's chest pumped up and down as he breathed heavily.

Just as he was struggling to breathe, the warmth of a palm on his shoulder spooked him.
"Junnie...", It was Seungkwan who almost skid from behind Jun passing a tremble down his spine.

"You almost scared him to death", Dino's whine echoed across the room.
Since when were these two here?

"Nevermind that.", Seungkwan suggested.

"Bro... Where's the party?", Dino inquired.

"part.. Party? What party?", Jun scratched his head in confusion.

"Of course..
You won this role now that Wonwoo is hospitalized.", Seungkwan laughed.

"Just if somehow... He died in the surgery, no one can take this role away from you.", Dino ushered.

"Honestly I knew my brother was very ambitious", Seungkwan added.

By now, Dino and Seungkwan were very close to Jun and finally,
Dino whispered in his ear,
"But I never imagined you'd go so far as to take Wonwoo's life for it."

Jun's heartbeat was soaring in heights by now as cold sweat broke loose upon his forehead.
As if some deity blew life in his chest, he woke up....from yet another dream.
In the very next moment, he realized they were gone.

He held his forlorn head in his arms and guilt slowly crawled upon his insides as he let out a deep exhale.
Nevertheless, his eyes sense some motion as they scanned the unusually big room.

The door hesitantly creaked open and inwards came Seungcheol.

"It's been a while Jun", he exclaimed.
Maybe Woozi had told him about what happened.

"Coups hyung.... I-", before Jun said anything he shifted closer to the edge of the bed.
Jun motioned Seungcheol to stoop down to his level and the very next moment, he pinched his cheek with his sleeve fingers.

"AHH WHYY WOULD YOU DO THAT?"
Seungcheol's voice echoed in the whole room.

"pheww.. Thank god this isn't a dream", Jun sighted with a heavy heart.

"Then shouldn't you have pinched yourselves you idiot", Seungcheol retreated a step or two.

"Ah yea.. That could've...

Worked", Jun was finally exhaling multiple sighs of relief.
After checking up on Junhui, coups left the room to get some sleep.
.
.
The next noon, I went down after doing my chores for the day.
Somehow the thought of talking it out with Jun lingered in my mind.
There was another thought revolving in my mind.
Was I actually supposed to interfere in the matters of two brothers?

Well yes if it matters to me.

It wasn't long when I saw a familiar glimpse skim through in front of my eyes. Am I daydreaming or it was really Jun?
Coming out of his room after two whole days.
After mugging up a lot of courage, I ushered myself to the living room.
My plan was to sternly talk him out of his stubbornness and go see Wonwoo, who was longing to see his other half.

Usually at the hour of noon, everybody has their hands full of work in different corners of the house, so I deemed it unimportant to make sure nobody was eavesdropping.
After all, it was a sensitive matter.

It was, the moment I reached the living room I called out,

"WEN JUNHUI IS IT TOO HARD TO VISIT YOUR BROTHER AT THE HOSPITAL?

DON'T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HE NEEDS YOU RIGHT NOW?"

My tone went lower and lower as tears started swelling in the corners of my eyes.

"Last night he.... He", I shed some tears before looking up at Jun..

Only to realize that there were ten men behind Junhui. All standing with plates in their hands while Joshua was serving them toasted breads with glimmering butter spread on it.

As soon as they heard my announcement, their faces were paralyzed.
On second thoughts, my sobs dramatically faded away.

After a moment of graveyard-like silence, Junhui walked up to me and bent forth to pat my head with his free hand, other one holding his plate.

"I was with Wonwoo this whole morning.
I just returned."

He looked towards me once again and smiled with a subtle grin.
Everyone else gave dumbfounded reactions at my stubbornly failed scolding attempt.
While Seungkwan and Vernon were turning into ripe tomatoes in holding their giggles, Dino burst out in a exceedingly funny laughter.
Following it, everyone expressed their share of guilt for laughing at me as they left for work, one by one patting my head in adoration.

Lastly, it was Joshua, who said,

Lastly, it was Joshua, who said,

"See what you've done to them?
I've never seen them laugh like this on a Tuesday afternoon."

With that, Joshua skipped across me with a toast in his mouth and hands digged in pockets.
Indeed it is overwhelming at times,
Living with thirteen step brothers.
