The moonlight painted a shimmering path on the tranquil waters as I wandered along the beach. The soft sand underfoot felt like a comforting embrace, the rhythmic melody of waves a soothing lullaby for my thoughts.

Draped in a flowing dress that danced with the wind, I inhaled the salty air, letting the calm of the night envelop me. Laughter from the resort carried on the breeze, a reminder of the vibrant family I had come to adore with my brothers; But amidst the gentle symphony of the night, a voice emerged, pulling me from my musings.

"Beautiful night, don't you think?"

I turned, heart racing a bit as I found Joshua standing there, a charming smile curving his lips. His silver hair shimmered in the moonlight. My favorite thing about Joshua is....
the way his gaze held mine made me feel like the only person in the world.

"Joshua," I breathed, my surprise blending with a touch of delight. "You scared me a little, I admit."

His laughter was a melody that seemed to harmonize with the waves. "My apologies. The moon has a pull I couldn't resist."

We fell into a comfortable silence, his fingers tracing patterns in the sand as his gaze remained at the sea.

"I've heard you're a good singer" he said, his eyes meeting mine, his gaze warm like a cup of hot chocolate on a chilly day. "Dino told me about your singing competition last year."

Heat rose to my cheeks, mingling with the salt-kissed breeze. "It's... a bit overwhelming."
I never knew Dino was familiar with me before all of this.

He nodded, understanding glinting in his eyes. "I would love to hear you sign at our parents wedding."

"If it happens."

"what do you m.. mean?", I was confused.

"seems like the brothers are very interested in you... I won't say more", he gently smirked and looked down and for the first time in my life, I felt something similar to what a confession feels like.

If our parents marry each other, we could only ever be siblings;
Nothing else.

As the night deepened, none of us dared to speak a word ahead, the shadows from the palm trees began to dance, creating intricate patterns on the sand

As the night deepened, none of us dared to speak a word ahead, the shadows from the palm trees began to dance, creating intricate patterns on the sand. It was a sight so serene, the night felt almost dreamlike.

But then, a sudden chill grazed my skin, followed by a whisper that seemed to emerge from the very shadows themselves. My heart skipped a beat, and the atmosphere shifted from tranquil to eerie in an instant.

"Did you hear that?" My voice was hushed, a touch of unease creeping in.

Joshua's expression shifted, his usually playful demeanor replaced by a serious gaze as he strained to hear. "It's probably just the wind, playing tricks."
