Epilogue

Two red lines.

The test had two red lines.

"I'm pregnant."

Wait...

"I'm pregnant?" I shouted in surprise and looked at the test again. It had two lines!

I freaked out and didn't know what to do. I didn't want to tell Elias right away, I wanted to be hundred percent sure first. I mean, it's not like I haven't seen the signs that something is wrong, that's why I even took the test. The missed period, the nausea, my swollen breasts...

I also remembered the unprotected sex we had when we were in Dubai for our honeymoon two weeks ago. Ah, it was amazing. The weather, the beaches, the romantic dinners and surprises, the sex...which may have left me pregnant.

I've always loved kids so that's why I was so excited and happy. Gosh, a mini me running around the house! Wouldn't that be awesome?

I took the test and hid it in the drawers. I hurriedly put on a shirt and some jeans and headed downstairst.

"Hey Tessa, I have to go." I yelled so she can hear me.

"Alright Paris, see you later." She waved me off.

I got into my car and drove to the nearest hospital. I went in, my hands still shaking and my heart beating rapidly. I asked the first nurse I found where can I take a test and she guided me to the Gynecology part of the hospital.

The nurse that was checking me in for my physical and asking all the normal questions. "Any recent changes in medications? Any new concerns? When was your last period?"

I told her when my last period was, and the date that my most recent period should have been, which was just one short week before this appointment.

"Well, let's find out if you're pregnant, shall we?" She said with a sweet smile and I nodded awkwardly.

I'm so nervous.

"I'll get you a cup!"

I nervously laughed and said "okay". I went to the bathroom and peed in the cup. I left my pee cup in the bathroom, per the detailed instructions posted on the wall, made my way back to my exam room, shut the door and started scrolling on my phone waiting for my doctor to arrive. My legs shaking from nervousness.

A few minutes later, the door opened, and my doctor walked in. Before she could close the door behind her, the nurse quickly poked her head in and excitedly said, "IT'S POSITIVE! Congratulations!"

I looked at her, absolutely stunned. and said, "Excuse me, what? Really? with my voice cracking between words.

I stared at the walls, put my face in my hands and cried. I've always used to be emotional even for stupid things but this was something special.

I have a new life growing inside me.

The doctor invited me to his office, offering that we should do a ultrasound.

"This is for you." He handed me the ultrasound picture.

I took it and thanked him. Exiting the hospital I took a deep breath.

I can't wait to tell Elias.

It was around 4 pm, Elias was about to be home soon. I dismissed Tessa earlier today and made dinner myself. I decorated the room a little bit with some candles and roses.

The best part was the small box that was placed on the table. Inside I put the ultrasound picture, confetti and a small note saying: hi daddy! It was placed next to the picture and it represented our baby greeting Elias.

I heard the door open so I immediately closed the box, adjusting my white dress.

Elias immediately put a smile on when he saw me. "Hi wifey." He welcomed me in a hug.

"Hi hubby." I kissed his lips softly and helped him take off his jacket.

"You look very beautiful." He said, tracing his gaze up and down my body.

I blushed. "Thank you. I made dinner tonight." I said and grabbed his hand, guiding him to the table. "Sit down."

He did as I told and frowned when he saw the small box which had a sign saying open me!

"What is this?" He asked and I giggled.

"Open it."

Elias raised his brow, looking suspicious. Slowly but surely he opened the small box. He went from clueless to surprised to shocked to excited to wide smile in ten seconds.

"You- you're pregnant?" Elias said in excitement and stood up from his chair.

"Yes!"

He took me in his arms and started spinning around, making me laugh and hug his tight. He placed me down and showered me in kisses.

"I love you so much, you have no idea how happy you just made me."

I kissed his lips and smiled. "I love you too, a lot."

Elias's eyes were shining as he was looking at me, giving me a promise. "I'll be the best father to our baby."

I had no doubt in that.

Whew, we came to the end of my favorite book i've written! I love this book so much and it means a lot to me. I put a lot of effort into this book (thanks to winter break) and thank you all for appreciating it. Honestly, i'm very satisfied with what i did. I feel like i've matured a lot as a writen, learned how to express more, how to write a better character development, even learned how to use punctuation properly.

However, biggest thanks for everyone who was with me through this journey, at some point this book was the only thing that kept me happy in my life😩. So yeah, i love you all soooo muchhhhh and thank you for everything❤❤❤!
