Love Me Like You Used To

Chapter 16

Mina woke up and she was laying against the wall. She immediately searched for Rin and sighed in relief when she saw her resting next to her.
"What happened?" Mina turned to the voice and it was Kagome.
"You guys are awake" The demon growled.
"Allow me to introduce myself, Lucer" said the demon.
"Stay away from us!" Said Kagome. She stood in front of us holding a blade holder. Lucer blasted her and she flew back hitting the wall. Mina quickly grabbed Rin and pulled her to her. The demons was about to strike and they shielded their eyes, waiting for impact. Mina gasped in shock when she saw Sesshomaru block the attack. Mina quickly grabbed Rin and woke up Kagome. They ran out of the dungeon. Mina worried about her lover but she knew she had to protect Rin. They ran out to where they were at a cliff. They heard explosion and Mina wrapped Rin in her arms. A demon came towards them and Mina drew out her sword and swung at the demon. She behead it and then kicked it off the cliff. She scanned her surroundings and before another Demon could run to Rin, she reached her hand out and the demon froze. Mina ran and kicked the demon, shattering its bones. Mina sighed and she sat with Rin. Rin hugged onto her and they waited. Kagome was off to the side and noticed the two clinging to each other. The thoughts that ran through her mind was that there was something more to this Mina. She held power but she had it at a restraint. She wondered if her power was like Sesshomaru's, but she doubt that.
There was a loud explosion and out came Inuyasha and Miroku and Sango with Kilala. Kagome immediately rushed to the group.
Mina watch Sesshomaru come out of the smoke and she sighed with relief. She rushed to him and hugged him. She felt a presence and gasped in shock when she saw Inu-no-Taisho. She wasn't paying attention to the words he was saying, but was happy that she got to see his face. He turned to her and smiled at her with a nod. His figure then disappeared and it was silent. Sesshomaru began walking and Mina and Rin took that as the cue that was time to start walking. Without saying goodbye, the group left.
Mina was resting against a tree. She was exhausted. She was happy when she saw Rin come back with flowers and fish. She immediately set up a camp fire and started cooking.
Mina must have dozed off because she felt someone shaking her. She opened her eyes to amber ones. She smiled weakly and she looked over and saw the Jacken and Rin were knocked out. Sesshomaru sat down and adjusted them so Mina was laying in his lap with his fur pelt laying over her.
The next day, the group was walking and it was peaceful. Mina was wondering about Sesshomaru seeing his father again. She wondered if he was okay. She had a feeling that he held something against his father. She wondered if it had something to do with him choosing his life over a human. She asked herself if that made a difference with Rin. Rin was human and he had held a special place in her heart. Sesshomaru loved Rin and even though he didn't say it, him rescuing her showed it a lot. Mina hoped that he would come to understand that loving someone is when you fight for someone and stay by their side. She then thought about herself. Did he love her?
Mina was brought from her thoughts when she felt itching in her back. Not thinking anything of it, she kept walking. She watched as Rin played with the flowers in her hand. Mina screamed out when she felt intense flash of pain in her back. She immediately fell forward and the world went dark.
Mina, no longer in control of herself, eyes turned red and claws grew. Sesshomaru sensed the strong aura and immediately demanded Rin to get behind him. Mina swiped at Sesshomaru and he dodged it. Mina challenged him hand to hand combat and Sesshomaru dodged her attacks smoothly. Mina blew out frosted air and then shot flames out of her mouth. Sesshomaru grabbed his sword and reflected it to the sky. Without a second thought, he threw a hard punch to the side of her head, knocking her out. He put his sword away. He bent down and checked her back and the spider mark was pulsing red. Sesshomaru immediately picked her up and sat her on top of Ah-Uhn.
"Lord Sesshomaru" Rin said.
Sesshomaru didn't say anything and had everyone continue to walk. The reminder of Naraku being alive, made him more determined to find the demon and slay him.
