Love Me Like You Used To

Chapter 27

Mina was silent and sat against   Sesshomaru. Inuyasha and them sat silently around the fire, waiting for an explanation. 
Sesshomaru told them that Mina couldn't speak. Kagome had a notepad and a pencil in her bag, and Mina wrote down her explanation.
     "What do you want to know?" Mina wrote.
     "How about you start with how you are able to create a jewel?" said Miroku.
     " I am not sure how I am able to create it. When I was born, I was special. I was able to do things that no other demon could do. My parents knew that if other demons found out, then they would try to steal me away and abuse my powers. My father didn't know, but my mother knew that I was able to create a sacred Jewel. We finally told my father, and we tried giving it to different colonies, humans, to look after it in order to keep demons away from it. As you know, that didn't go as planned, " Mina explained. Her back was leaned against Sesshomaru as he leaned against the tree. They were in their usual relaxed position.
    "So this means...wait..so the other woman never created the jewel?" Kagome asked.
     "No, she harnessed it after I created it," Mina told them.
      "But why did you create it? Especially knowing it causes so much trouble, " said Shippo.
     "It was an accident. We were under attack. This was an attack way before I lost my family. I was in my room, and I thought about protection. The Jewel formed in my hand. I felt it's power and I ran outside and I used one of my powers and killed the demon. I told my mother, and she kept it a secret until my father started to get suspicious.  We finally told him, and that was when he said it was too dangerous for us to keep around, and we had to send it away, " said Mina. Rin came over and rubbed her eye.  Mina smiled and laid her down in her lap.
    "So why don't you create another Jewel and save us the trouble of finding the current one?" Asked Inuyasha.
     "That's the dumbest idea I have ever heard," said Mina, and Inuyasha growled. Sesshomaru opened his eyes and glared at Inuyasha.
    "Mina is right. Creating another one and bringing it into the world will only cause more problems."said Miroku.
    "Correct. Also, imagine what Naraku would do if he got his hands on another Jewel. His power will increase, and there would be no chance to defeat him." Said Mina.
    Everyone was in silence, in their own thoughts. Mina cuddled against Sesshomaru and held Rin against her.
   
It was the next day, and everyone was walking together. Mina smiled as she saw Rin picking flowers. She ran back to the ground and got back on Ah-un and started to make a flower dress for her makeshift doll.
    "Look, Mina, isn't it pretty?" Rin said loudly, and Mina smiled and nodded. Mina didn't notice that Sesshomaru was looking at her. Ever since they found out about her losing the baby, she hasn't brought it up and has been in her shell. It reminded him of how she used to be when they first met years ago.
     "Can we rest now? We have been walking for hours, " said Kagome.
       "You can hold out a little longer," said Inuyasha.
    "We can rest. Besides, I'm getting hungry, " said Shippo.
     "Grr..If we keep stopping to rest, then we'll never catch up to Naraku!" Yelled Inuyasha.  Inuyasha's group started arguing. 
    Mina rolled her eyes. Jacken commented on how immature they and Mina laughed. The group kept arguing, and Mina started to get annoyed.
    "Shut up!" Mina yelled,her voice a little squeaky, and the group went silent. Everyone was shocked that she got her voice back.
    Mina was about to say something, but she was swept away off the ground, and she was sent crashing into a tree.
    "Mina!" Multiple voices yelled out.
    Mina let out a groan. Then she passed out.
