Ellemy puts her nose in the air and sniffs. "The princess... she's close." Then it looks at Link. "I haven't killed you because I need you. I'm going to get the princess but don't you think for one second this girl is free. She is forever bound to me."

With that there is a gust of wind and Link knows that Ellemy is herself. He runs to catch her before she hits the ground.

"Link," she says crying. "There is nothing I can do. I can't fight it off."

"It's okay," he says. "I'm going to do everything in my power to help you." If I only I knew how.

"Maybe now... if Adel is close and we are in the threshold of the lands, maybe now you can reach her," she says weakly. "I know what will happen. She will die by my hands and there won't be anything I can do to stop it. You have to try to warn her. Tell her to kill me, Link"

Link grits his teeth. "You are not dying," he says.

She smiles weakly. "I am so lucky to have a taste of what it feels like to be truly cared for... hurry Link. There's not much time. This... spirit... is tricky. She fooled me and you, and now likely Adel too."

Link lays her down gently and takes the ocarina out of his pocket. Without much time to think, he play the Song of Connection.

"Link," he isn't sure he is hallucinating or not. He stands still, hoping to hear her voice again.

"Link!"

"Adel. Is that you?"

"Yes. It's me, Link. You must be close."

"Adel, listen quickly. We don't have much time. There is some type of entity trying to get to you. It used Ellemy and tricked me too. It has a vengeance against you, though I have no idea why, and other plans for Hyrule. It's not a good idea to proceed with opening the portal."

There is silence. "Adel?" says Link looking around.

Link turns around and he sees Adel. It stuns him. He wonders if maybe this is the demon, but her translucent state suggests that it is in fact her. Link walks closer and her prenense becomes stronger. He is surprised to see there are tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

"I already gave my blood as an offering. I saw the inverted force and thought it was a sign. Thought it was you. I had no idea there could be any other force out to get me besides Gannondorf. I let my guard down. What do I do, Link?"

Link looks around for an answer as if it exist in the blue skies of the Ephemeral Realm. He does a double take when he realizes Ellemy is no longer there.

"Adel. Did you see what happened to Ellemy? She's dangerous."

Adel doesn't speak.

"Adel?!"

Adel looks at him. "She's here."
