"Ellemy! Ellemy!" Ellemy comes to, being forcefully shaken by Link, his hands on her shoulders.
She blinks a few times then looks at him, slowly coming back to reality.
"Ellemy, are you okay? You have been stood there wide eyed. It's freaking me out."
Ellemy looks at Link then her eyes roll in her head as her knees buckles. Link catches her.
"Ellemy, can you just tell me what happened? Have you eaten today?"
She opens her mouth to say something, but she is unable to. She knows something happened. Something dark in sinister, but she isn't able to articulate the words to express it the one person who could protect her. She isn't sure if she is still in a state of shock or if she physically will never be able to talk about what happened.
She shakes her head. "I think I'm ok."
"You don't look ok," says Link as he holds her.
Ellemy faintly smiles. She enjoys him holding her like this. Maybe being in trouble isn't too bad, if it gets his attention, she thinks.
"I'm just glad you're here," she says weakly, putting her hands to his face. "Let's try to pass through."
Link looks at her a moment with concern but doesn't stop her when she stands on her own and walks to the shrine. He follows her.
"Alright," says Link, "Let me get the ocarina and then--"
Don't think for a second that I'm gone, says a voice that only Ellemy can here. Link just needs to say right word.
Ellemy wants to scream at Link to not say it, but she can't open her mouth to speak.
"I just wish my memories weren't so cryptic," says Link completely unaware of Ellemy's internal struggle. "I remember the things Adel has said to me but not the how part. It's not helpful,"
Ellemy's heart is racing. Don't say it Link. Don't say it.
"Well I guess if it's a memory from the past, her correct name would Zelda. I wonder if she still hates being called that."
Ellemy's heart beats one very hard thump, like one hard bang on a drum, then her heart stops altogether.
"Get out of here, Link," is the last thing she can mange to chock out before her spirit is gone, replaced by something much darker.
"What did you say?"
He looks at Ellemy and when she looks back at him, he does two back flips away from her. Her body looks like Ellemy, but her face has changed. Veins bulge down her forehead and neck, her pupils dilated, consuming her entire eye.
"Who the hell are you and what do you want with Ellemy?" says Link drawing his sword, then realizing who is drawing his sword to makes him lose confidence.
"It's not this girl I want," it says in a low raspy voice, nothing like Ellemy's real voice. "I have been looking for a host for quite some time but no one suitable has presented themselves. Actually, I thought it might have been you. I know being away from your home and love has been difficult but when I saw Ellemy, how pathetic she was, I knew it would be easier to take advantage of her."
"I'm not following," says Link sternly. "Why do you want to use Ellemy?"
"To kill Zelda for what she has done to me. Gannondorf too, but she already did that for me. I was so proud I thought maybe I would spear her. But no, what she did was unforgivable so she will pay and then I can re enter this world and live the life I deserve that was sadly taken away from me."
"What are you?" says Link slowly.
"Enough questions!" she snaps. "But I do need your help."
Link laughs. "Help you?"
"I guess I should say first that I can help you."
"I don't need help and oyu need to leave Adel and Ellemy the hell alone."
"No? You don't need help getting to the other side. Come on, Link. Who are you trying to fool? Here is how it's going to go. Ellemy done part of the job, now I need you to complete the rest. All I need from you is to what you usually do, draw your blood and put it on the Goddess's monument. Then I will grant you access to the other side. Easy, right?"
"How can you grant me access?"
"Because," it says, now drooling. "The goddess of chaos who you now know was Darunia, the one who has granted you access before, was created by me."
