A car drove by my side slowly. Matt's head popped out the window of the rusty, green car.

"I'm walking." I said in a flat tone.

"Yeah. I can see that. Why are you pissed?" Matt asked. His car driving at the same speed of my walking pace.

"Because you ditched me for some girl." Once the words slipped out of my mouth I realised how stupid they were.

Matt can kiss and talk to anyone he wants.

Who am I to care?

"Ok, whatever. I have great news though." Matt pushed open the car door and I climbed in. Why was I so pissy lately?

Must be the heat thats making me grumpy.

"Ok... good news?"

A big, bright smile spread across Matt's broad jaw.

"Well... other then the fact its summer break, Amanda Mcewan likes you."

My mouth fell open.

"Fucking lies." I said laughing halfheartedly and punching Matt playfully.on the arm.

"I swear. No lie. Jessica King told me."

Hope, as well as excitment bubbled inside of me.

Jessica was Amanda's bestfriend. And Amanda was my true love. Amanda was everything perfect. Beautiful, popular, smart.

Amanda had dark, brown hair that was either in a high pony tail, or hanging around her back. She was a cheerleader and of course she had a slim, skinny figure.

I literally drowned of pleasure when I made eye contact with her. Her eyes were bright green, and Amanda's perfectly done makeup made them appare bigger.

My heart throbbed for her, my head dreamed of her and my arms needed her.

"That's why your going to that party tonight." Matt said, pulling to fhe curb to let me out.

Skinny jeans?

No. They made me look fatter then I really was.

Sweats?

No. They made me look sloppy.

Shorts?

No. They showed to much skin.

Denim?

I pulled the jeans on for the second time today and moved onto my shirt suggestions

Tank top?

No. Showed nothing more then my fat arms.

Long sleeve?

No. Too tight.

Black tshirt?

mhm. I pulled the plain black shirt over my head and threw on a black hoodie.

My damp, blonde hair needed some change too.

Thoughts popped into my head.

Braids?

Arh... hell no. To hippie.

Pony tail?

Nope.

I sighed loudly, and gave up on the guessing game.

My eyes caught sight of a pair of scissors laying on my dresser. Behind it was a bottle of hairspray from last halloween.

I snipped away long, shaggy blonde locks.

Added blackhair spray.

cut some more.

More hair spray.

more snips.

I swept my bangs to the side ans chopped those too. A smile rose upon my face.

Black hair suited me.

"Wow." Matt whistled from the door way.

Like always, Matt was dressed perfectly. His hair was swept to the side like mine, he wore dark blue jeans that suited him as well as a blue polo.

Next to Matt I looked like some emo fuck.

I sighed loudly and outlined my eyes in dark kohl. A pencil I'd stolen from Sara.

Matt dangled his car keys on his finger.

"Ready?"
