~Aspen~
It had been two hours since the man had left me in this small bedroom, and I had been attempting escape non-stop.
I tried pulling against the handcuff, hoping it would break, but the metal was too strong. Then, I tried slipping my hand out from the handcuff, but my wrist started to bleed from my many attempts.
I kicked the desk next to the bed in frustration. The force knocked over a small tin container, making it hit the floor. The contents of the container spilled.
What was all over the floor gave me hope.
I picked up a shiny silver paperclip from the floor and twisted one of it's ends using both of my hands. After locating the keyhole to the handcuffs, it took me a few minutes to hear a small click.
I had done this before, when I was trapped somewhere.
I snatched my hand away and wiped some of the blood from my wrist onto the bed, leaving a small streak of red.
I wasn't sure where my kidnapper was in the building, nor did I know my way around, so I resorted to looking out the window for an escape route.
Some of my hope dissapeared when I saw where the building I was trapped in was located.
We were high up in the mountains, sorrounded by trees and rugged slopes. There was a small road that lead away from where I'm assuming the entrance to the house was, but I wasn't sure if it was safe to travel on.
What was I going to do?
The only way I could imagine getting away from here was with a vehicle, which I did not have access to at the moment.
As soon as these discouraging thoughts hit me, a large truck came up the hill that lead to the house.
If that driver was friendly enough, maybe they could give me a ride to somewhere where I would be safe.
I heard talking out front. It was the man and the driver of the truck. They were having a normal converstation, as though one of them wasn't a psychopath who had a teenage girl imprisoned in his house.
I took this chance to leave the bedroom. Outside the door, there was a large room which exited to a staricase, which lead to a beautiful living room.
I slipped down the staircase, carefully headed towards the back exit.
Suddenly, the front door opened.
I quickly and quietly shut myself into a bathroom.
I saw through a crack in the door that it was the man who kidnapped me, and he was headed upstairs.
I had to act quickly. He might be going upstairs to get me.
After he was up the staircase, I rushed out the front door.
A friend of his was out there. He had a big floppy head of curls and a cute face.
"Who are you?" He asked. He had an accent.
"Help me! He had me trapped up in a room! He won't let me leave!'
"Aspen!" I heard a shout from inside. The man's friend and I made eye contact, and he hurried to get me in his car, helping me into the passenger seat.
Bang!
The nice man feel to the ground dead, an large spout of blood portrouding from the back of his head.
I gasped. There, at the entrance of the house, with a pistol in his hands, was the scary man.
"What the fuck were you thinking?" He asked. He looked so. . . angry.
"You tried to leave me?"
"N-No!" I stuttered.
"Bullshit! Why would you leave me?"
"I-I want to go home."
"Get in the fucking house, before I shoot you, too."

I would never, ever hurt her, but I was so consumed with anger and dissapointment that I didn't know how to react.
She hurried inside, her large eyes clouded with tears.
I walked over and threw Ashton's body into the back of his truck. If some animal didn't take it, I'd dump it off in the canyon tomorrow morning. Maybe I would take Aspen with me so she doesn't try to escape again.
I can't believe that she wanted to leave. Had she not felt the connection between us? Did she not know that I adored her more than anything else in the entire world?
I kicked Ashton's truck angrily, and then turned to go back inside.
I stepped inside, to see Aspen out on the back patio, attempting to climb over the fence.
"Aspen!"
She attempted to push herself over, but I rushed outside and grabbed her by the waist before she could go. She jerked away from my gentle touch.
"What are you doing?" I asked her harshly. She tried to push my hands off of her sides, but I kept my hands in their current position.
"You were going to leave me," I said.
She looked away.
"Aspen, you can't leave me. I know you don't believe me, but we're meant to be together. I'm in love with you. Why won't you love me back?" I lifted her face with my hand, which was still smeared with Ashton's blood.
"You took me away from my home, my friends, and my family." Aspen's voice was strong and angry.
"I gave you a new home, I can be a new friend, and we can make a family." I said quietly. She shook her head, her hair bouncing around her perfect face.
"I want to go home." She demanded.
"Aspen, let's go to sleep."
I guess she was tired, because she agreed.
"I'm not sleeping in the same bed as you."
I accepted her personal space, and locked her into the bedroom she had been staying in before her attempted escape.
"Goodnight Aspen, I love you." I said to the closed door. All I heard from the other side of the door was muffled sniffles and loud sobs.
It made me feel horrible, knowing that it was my fault. All I wanted was for us to be together, forever.

I have no life, so that's why I've updated so much today.
And I'm enjoying listening to PTV while writing.
How was the chapter?
Have a nice day!
