You were forcefully taken back to your room by the eldest of the daughters. She threw you on the bed and got a few things to patch you back up.
She put some rubbing alcohol on a tissue before applying it on your wound. You watched each of her movements carefully, making sure she wouldn't also take a bite.
"You are way more behaved then the other two..."
She looked up at you,
"I'll take that as a compliment~"
She finished patching up your wound and put the rest of the supplies back where they belonged to.
"You haven't had a proper meal in about 2 days. We don't need any food cooked since we're always satisfied with just blood"
"Glad you noticed that I was starving..." you mumbled.
"I told Cassandra to make you something, she should be finished by now. And don't think this is going to happen more then once. It's just so your blood and body is fresh"
You raised an eyebrow and slowly nodded, "I see. How generous of you..."
Bela saw the bag which contained the remains of Magnolia, she walked to it and picked it up.
"Ugh, why did Daniela have to waste such good food for a stupid joke" she rolled her eyes, "Come with me, I'll lead you to the kitchen"
You followed her as she left your room with the bag. Instead of flying in her swarm like always, she walked.
"Don't you usually fly in your swarm?"
"You wouldn't be able to keep up with those limb and fragile human legs of yours~" you could hear her smile in that sentence. You didn't answer and just continued to follow, not shortly after you arrived in the kitchen where your food was ready and still warm. Cassandra glared at you,
"You better be thankful for this. It took me a lot of tries to cook it in the perfect temperature!"
You looked at the plate with a perfectly cooked steak and a few vegetables next to it. You hesitated at first,
"Don't worry. The meat isn't human." Bela reassured you.
"As if she's going to trust us Bela"
Cassandra rolled her eyes, but she was right. You wouldn't even trust them one inch.
"And if so, what difference is it going to make anyway? She tasted the wine before, so meat shouldn't be any different now." Bela looked at you.
"How...did you know-"
"We can smell the blood, don't forget that"
You took the plate and the utensils then turned to Cassandra to thank her.
"Thank you for cooking me this meal..." you bowed and left the kitchen to go back into your room. You put the plate on the table and just stared at it. What if it was human meat? You can't eat this. What if this is your last meal? What if they poisoned it? You're going to die of hunger if you don't eat anything. You don't want that right? You didn't want to die such a pathetic way. You have to eat this, you have to-
The door was opened and Bela entered with a glass of water. She just stood there, confused.
"We forgot to give you some water..." she put the glass next to you.
"Staring at it won't make you solve your problem with it"
"If you were a human like me and landed in a castle with four crazy ass women, who are BLOOD THIRSTY, maybe then you would understand why I'm having these doubts here" you hissed at her.
"Go on then, have your doubts. It's not my problem if you starve" Bela left and slammed the door, locking it.
You sat there on the floor, sighing while listening to your stomach yearn for food. You got yourself together and stood up, taking the knife and fork, cutting through the meat and eating a piece, you didn't care about the taste, you just ate. You needed something to satiate your hunger.
Whoever that piece of meat belonged to though, saved your life for that day.
