You looked at the bottle, which looked way better now then before. It wasn't dusty anymore, making it now possible to inspect the whole bottle itself. It had a few roses carved in along with small little swords as thorns.

"I'll wait for you here. I still have to show you where we sleep..." Magnolia said. You nodded and walked back up the stairs into the wine room your Countess was in. She was still standing there, but with a little notebook, writing something down on it.

"There you are. I assume you finished cleaning the bottle as I requested?" she finished writing inside the notebook and put it down on the table.

"Yes, I did" you handed her the bottle and waited for her to say something. She put the clean wine bottle on a barrel and took another one from the shelf, removing the cap of the bottle. The Countess then turned towards you and smiled,

"Taste it" she held the bottle in front of your face. You were startled and didn't want to believe what she just said,

"T-taste?" you repeated.

"Yes. I want you to taste the wine~" her yellow glowing eyes pierced through you, as if they were looking right into your soul. You took the bottle and looked at it,

"Right out of the bottle?" you gulped. She nodded and started to grow impatient. You took a deep breath and chugged a bit of the wine. To your surprise, it actually wasn't that bad. It had a very sweet taste. The after taste though was metallic and the liquid itself was a bit thick. You put the bottle down on the table and looked back up to her, she was a bit surprised and didn't expect you to drink it, but then smiled again.

"How did it taste?" she asked you and came a bit closer to you.

"It's very sweet. The after taste is, well, disgusting...but it's good?" you didn't want to think of the ingredients they use for the wine and tried to ignore your inner thoughts. She was satisfied with your answer and put her finger on your lip, her hands were so big compared to your own, making you scared of what she really is capable of. She then wiped the little red line of wine away from your lips, still keeping her eyes on you as she licked it off of her gloved finger.

"You're right, it does have a metallic after taste. You have a very good taste bud~"

You were a bit creeped out by her wiping off the wine from your face and just licking it, as if it was normal. She turned back around and motioned a hand gesture to you,

"You can go now for today"

You nodded and quickly left the room, sprinting down the stairs back to Magnolia.

"Y/N! What happened? You look-"

"Nothing happened. I just want to go to sleep" you interrupted her by lying. She shook it off and held your hand, leading you down into the basement. She stopped at a few cells and looked back to you. You sighed and rubbed your eyeballs,

"I mean...what else was I expecting..." you walked into one cell and tried to endure the smell that was surrounding you.

"You'll get used to it" she tried to comfort you and went into another cell, laying down.

"Y/N?" Magnolias voice seemed to tremble again. You waited for her to go on,

"Nevermind" she sighed and stood back up from the floor to walk over to your cell. You straightened yourself up and looked at her. She took off a bracelet and put it around your hand, hiding it.

"This was from a very close friend, but she sadly...passed" she tried to stay strong and continued,

"I want you to have it. I hope that, in the future, we can be just as close" she finished. You gave her a gentle hug and pat her back,

"We will be" you answered and let go, laying back down and patting the floor next to you, inviting her to sleep in your cell. She didn't hesitate and laid down, facing her back to you.

"Good night, Y/N. See you tomorrow" Magnolia said, you also turned around,

"Good night, Magnolia. I'll definitely see you tomorrow..." you heard her quiet snores, calming you that it's safe to go to sleep. You slowly put your own finger on your lip, exactly there where your Countess had put hers on, it brought you shivers down your spine and you quickly pulled your finger away, now holding the bracelet Magnolia put around your arm.

A close friend... you smiled and looked back to Magnolia, who was sleeping peacefully. You then closed your eyes and slowly drifted to sleep.

Your nice dreams turned into bad nightmares. Nightmares in which you ran away, not from lycans but from the daughters of your Countess. They were chasing you down with sickles, slicing your arms and legs open and letting them bleed out, laughing while they did. To make it worse, you even felt the pain, as if you were there yourself. You wanted to scream but you were just silent, nothing came out. No tears, no noise, just the sadistic laugh of the daughters and the pain that surrounded your body. Soon enough, you finally passed out, waking up.

You sprang up and took deep breaths, touching your legs and arms. Magnolia also woke up and turned to you to comfort you,

"Y/N..." she started, sounding sleepy. You couldn't see her that well in the dark, but gave her a hug anyways, you needed more comfort. She didn't hesitate to hug back and tightened it while she did so.

"It was just a nightmare. They always appear on the first few working days" she continued. Your heart was still racing, you never wanted to let go of the hug. She started to stroke your head,

"I'll be here. Don't worry.." she reassured you. You let go as your heart rate slowly calmed down.

"We're going to leave this place tomorrow. I don't care how, but we are going to leave" you said quietly, she didn't answer and just held your hands, squeezing them gently. Magnolia laid back down facing you so she could comfort you a little more.

"Try to not think of anything, that usually helps me to avoid those nightmares..." she explained while yawning. You just nodded, even though she couldn't see it and tried to take her advice. You closed your eyes and heard her quiet snores already. You fell asleep a few minutes after her, this time not dreaming of anything, making it able to sleep peacefully for now.
