Wish Island

Chapter 4

Lucian and Levi near Fate Island. The island could be seen even if they were a bit far out. A week and a few days already passed since the small "incident" with Lucian happened. After that, things seem to be going by smoothly.

Lucian and Levi are outside of their huts and are staring at the island. It was currently the morning and they had woken up not so long ago.

"Do you think Fate Island is huge?" Lucian asked. Levi replies with, "Perhaps, but I don't think it matters that much since we're just gonna go around the island, right?"

Lucian doesn't respond to his questions as he just turns to look at Levi and has a mischievous grin on his face. "...Right?" Levi asked again.

"Well..." Lucian starts. "Oh, come Lucian! We're close to Wish Island. Fate Island is only gonna keep us sidetracked," Levi says as he has an annoyed look on his face.

"But Levi! Who knows what that island holds!" Lucian says back. "And that's exactly why we shouldn't go," Levi says. "We don't know what that island holds." "But that ain't changing my mind."

Levi lets out a small groan of annoyance as he whispers under his breath, "Fucking hell..."

They reached Fate Island during the afternoon and Lucian had somehow convinced Levi to let him explore the island before they head off to Wish Island.

Of course, Levi's only accompanying him so that Lucian doesn't do anything too stupid or end up seriously injured.

They sailed the boat to the other end of the island so that in case anything bad happens and they need to run away, they could just run to the boat and sail off to Wish Island from there instead of having to leave for a while and then turning the boat around to start heading the right way again. It took a while to make the boat stay still and make sure it didn't float away, but in the end, it stayed.

After hopping off the boat and onto the island, they walked off from there. There was one thing Lucian wanted to see and that was the big cave at the center of the island.

Levi wasn't so excited about this idea but had to endure this small adventure. Lucian admired the trees, plants, and small insects and animals they saw along the way even though he's probably seen them a thousand times.

It took about ten minutes to reach the cave and Lucian seemed slightly disappointed when they reached it and saw that there didn't seem to be an entrance.

"Awwww...I was kinda hoping there was some kind of entrance we could've entered through..." Lucian said, with a hint of disappointment in his voice.

"Oh, wow...that's really disappointing..." Levi said, "Oh well! Let's just head back and-" "Wait! I see something!"

Lucian walks around the cave and sees that there is indeed an entrance they could go through. "Over here!" Lucian gives a wave to Levi as Levi walks towards him, seeming annoyed.

There was a large entrance that could've been very much spotted if they took a certain route, but it was pretty much pitch black inside from what they can see.

"We don't have any source for light, so...we'll probably get lost. Let's just head back and-" Levi cuts himself off once he sees that Lucian has already entered.

Levi has to prevent himself from exploding in anger and simply follows Lucian into the dark.

After a few minutes of just walking around the area, Levi was convinced Lucian had no idea where they are going and are lost.

"You know, I'm really starting to think you got us lost," Levi said. "Pfft- we're not lost. I just took a wrong turn. Simple as that." "You said that like 20 minutes ago."
