Lucian kept the fire going while Levi was still away. He was worried. It had been hours since Levi had left and he still hadn't returned. When one hour had passed, he thought it's either 'cause the island is actually bigger than it is, or Levi just got lost.
He wandered nearby on the search for Levi after another hour went by but wasn't able to see any track of Levi. No tracks. No items. Nothing. He returned to the fire, in hopes that Levi would soon come back, but he didn't.
Now, he was seriously worried. It was almost sunrise and Levi has yet to returned. He had slept for maybe an hour or two a while ago and Levi had still not shown up.
He thought of a plan of when sunrise came: he would go on the search for Levi once there was enough sunlight so that he could see and try to track down Levi.
He didn't care much about the island anymore. All he wanted was Levi, and once he would find him, they would go back to Tuilte Island.
While Levi was gone, Lucian had build a small raft for they could get off the island. Lucian had used the planks from their previous boat to create the small raft. Of course, he wasn't done with it just yet. The raft could barely carry Lucian himself.
He thought that once he found Levi, they would work together to finish building the small raft, and hopefully convert it into a small boat.
Once they would finish the small boat, they would get the items they currently have and look around the island to see if there was any kind of fruit to collect to take with them during their journey back home.
Well, during the journey back to Lucian's home. Lucian still had no idea where Imithe Island was. Guess he'll have to do some research on it when he gets back home. And if he was able to find the island Levi said he lived on, maybe from time to time, he could visit Levi.
That is if his older brothers wouldn't mind, since they didn't seem so nice. Lucian was sure they would kill him if they even saw him at Imithe Island. He would probably have to seek Levi for help if he ever got into Levi's older brothers's bad side.
Lucian continued to gather planks from the destroyed boat and put them into a pile. He had also found some of Levi's stuff under the sand such as the paints he had previously used, a knife or two, and some blank sheets of paper.
As he returns back to the fire, he grabs some of the planks and used them to continue the fire. He eventually thought of a problem that may occur. The longer they stay at the island, the more planks they will need to use to be able to keep a fire going at night. If they were to stay at Wish Island for a week, that means a lot of planks will be have to be used as fire fuel.
On the other hand, he thought that there would be enough planks, since the previous boat was big, to make a raft and keep a fire going, and that they'll only need a fire during the night. And to add to that, he'll have Levi there to help him out with all this stuff, so there wasn't really a problem.
But then again...
Lucian had to stop thinking about the "there-might-not-be-a-lot-of-planks" problem and focus on the on going task: Collecting planks. Main reason why he had to stop thinking about the plank problem being that it was giving him a headache from trying to solve one problem but then having another.
He continues to dig through some sand to find planks, and ripping off planks from the crashed boat. And that's when he heard it.
Running.
He pulls out a plank from the sand and walks over to the fire as he doesn't keep his eyes off the direction where he hears the running.
He throws the plank into the plank pile as his eyes look towards the right and left repeatedly until he saw him.
