it was night time when they decided to stay back at jungwon's old house. the younger, on the other hand, couldn't stop thinking about jongseong.

jungwon had already overreacted few times today. he felt bad for the ghost. the ghost really has no one in this world. jungwon is the only one who can see him.

i wonder what is hyung doing now?

he shut his eyes close and tried to sleep, but somehow, slumber didn't approach him yet.

he really can't get attached to something that won't stay with him forever.

"i am happy now"

those words came running back to him. at some point he decided not to give jongseong the proofs he found ...

i can't selfishly hold him back though? he played with his fingers as he kept turning on his side.

"can't sleep?"

he looked up and saw sunghoon staring at him. sunoo was fast asleep beside him though.

jungwon nodded before staring up at the ceiling

"is there anything bugging you? you can share if you are comfortable to" sunghoon said

jungwon was quiet. how would he tell sunghoon how he felt?

"its okay if you're not comfortable, i can't sleep at unknown places too- we'll talk the night out?" sunghoon suggested

"its not like i don't want to tell you, but, its more like how to tell you" jungwon plopped on his side and rested his head on his elbow.

"let me guess ... is it about that ghost guy?" sunghoon asked

jungwon smiled brightly at him "you can really read me well hyung"

"its just because you're too transparent with your feelings" sunghoon smiled "so what about him?"

"i don't know hyung, i'm scared... probably because i really had a connection with him in my last life" jungwon mumbled

sunghoon smiled at the boy fondly.

"its just, i don't know if i should give him this now...or should i wait...i don't know"

"hey" sunghoon moved forward and ruffled the younger's hair

"jungwon-ah, do you like him?" sunghoon asked, which caught jungwon off-guard.

no ofcourse not, how can i fall for a non-living thing... besides it hasn't even been time since i met him?

"ofcourse not hyung... its just that i'm not yet ready to let him go... he saved my life, i can't let him go without paying off his debts?" jungwon said. he sighed a little towards the end.

"letting him go is going to be the best way to payback what you owe to him, you know? i haven't seen him, but i feel like he's already been here since generations..." sunghoon mumbled softly as he placed his hand on jungwon's shoulder.

jungwon nodded silently.

"don't hold him back anymore, jungwon. let him go. he deserves his rest"

silence fell between the two. jungwon's vision started blurring out infront of his eyes.

"now stop crying," saying that sunghoon pulled the younger into a brotherly hug and patted his back.

"jungwon, i trust you... but don't get too attached to get hurt in the end, okay?" sunghoon was still patting the younger on his back.

let him go. don't hold him back. he was never yours in the first place. let him go. its going to be okay.

sunghoon moved his shoulders to see that jungwon had fallen asleep on them. he smiled to himself before gently placing the younger back to his place.

he took a deep breath before he stole a glance at sunoo.

someone's going to get hurt in the end.

he looked back at a sleeping jungwon and sighed.

he looked back at a sleeping jungwon and sighed
