A plane fly's solitarily through the sky. The twin turbines on both ends spin in general silence. In the monomial silence its passengers sat in silence, many on the built in LCD screens watching various movies provided, a man fluffs his neck pillow absent-mindedly before dozing off to sleep. Travelling though the main walkway, and past the cacophony of passengers, and towards the bow side of the plane stood the door of the cockpit. And beyond it the tale began.. The pilot turned to his Co-assistant and said "Are we at range?" the co-pilot took a look at his radar and noted they were a good distance away from the nearest airport. "We are," responded his co-pilot. He turned to the pilot, then stated "Are you certain they green-lighted this?" The pilot then reached down and pulled a lever, revealing a small panel with a key hole. His co-pilot instinctively followed protocol, followed the same procedure, unlocking a similar panel.

The pilot then reached for his neck and removed a chain with a key that was tucked inside his uniform. "Well, it's above my pay grade to question it. The co-pilot then quickly retrieved his key. They each inserted their own key into their respective key hole, and turned clockwise. Suddenly the radar screen glitches and went blank. The screen then booted up with a new logo and a monotone tune played denoting a vague corporation name. Unbeknownst to all those aboard the plane, except the captain and co-pilot, the air in front of the plane grew colder. A dense invisible whirl appeared in front of the aircraft, and was pulled apart like veil, revealing the unknown.

You may presume this phenomenon would attract the view of a wary passenger, but instead it was only visible through the new display that was present in the cockpit. The new program activated, resulting in multiple bogies appearing on screen. The pilot ducked and weaved, dodging the various floating isles and other unknown object that were referred to in briefing. As gravity did not exist, in the sense of each unknown body created its own field of gravity, the thrusters of the plane barely resisted the pull.

The silent sound of metal aching in the chaos that unfolded. An indicator blared; the pilot looked down and realized that they were approaching a jump point, with its co-ordinates displayed .  He turned to a sticky note on the top end of the radar's LCD screen, and as the values lined up He punched a button custom built to his left side and drew back the main throttle bar, the plane suddenly halted like it hit a break wall, and for an instant it stalled. As it fell a new rip through space and time opened and swallowed them whole. The plane was suddenly in the air again.

The radar reverted to its original programmed system, and displayed pings that indicated clear airspace. Both pilot and co-pilot turned their keys counter-clockwise, and pulled them out simultaneously. The pilot leaned back in relief, whilst his co-pilot sighed in relief. In the short distance an aero-conning tower stood, its occupants watched with vague interest. One, covered in shadow turned to the other, and said "Hail up HQ, tell them reinforcements arrived" In the distance the twin suns set, and a sentient roar in the distance signaled night.
