"Hey, do you want to go out with us tonight?" Max asked with his friend, Denver, standing behind him, anticipating a good answer. Max leaned back from him with his phone pressed against his ear while attempting to swat him away. "It's Friday, bar night."
April took a breath between her teeth on the other line. "Man, I really would like to, but I'm busy tonight."
Max's eyebrows drew together in confusion. She had plans? She didn't tell him that. Denver leaned closer to Max once again and asked, "What'd she say?"
"She says she's busy, dude."
Denver sighed and emphasized a pout. "She can't even go with us for an hour?"
Max shrugged and returned to the phone. "Like you're busy all night?"
"Yeah I'm busy all night," she said, a smile pressed into her voice. "Tell Denver I'll tag along next Friday."
"Alright," Max said again before once again waving Denver away. His friend dropped his shoulders and sighed before stepping away. Max watched him stroll away and pull his phone out, clearly intending to call his boyfriend to check and see if he was still interested in going out with them tonight. "What're you busy with?"
"Oh I've just got to do some stuff tonight," was all she said. He rolled his eyes, then realized that she couldn't see his attitude through the phone.
"Very descriptive," he muttered. "What stuff?"
She hummed through the phone at a higher pitch than she was previously talking with. A shiver went through his spine, making its way from the top to the bottom that made goosebumps raise on his skin. Her voice was sweet like honey, but mixed with something mischievous. He was curious, she had a track record of keeping things interesting.
"Well," she began. He heard the tapping of her finger against wood, maybe her desk. "Would you like to come over and find out?"
He paused, confusion coursed through him momentarily. "Sure?" Max finally answered slowly.
"I have to ask though," she said and dropped her voice. It was still sweet and thick, but closer to a whisper. His skin prickled as her voice went directly into his ear. "Are you horny?"
His ears started to burn by the directness of her question and he turned his body away from his friend just in case he caught on to the redness increasing in his skin. He cleared his throat. "I, uh, I can be."
"Okay," she sang. He bit his lip out of slight frustration and slight intrigue. She knew exactly what she was doing to him. "And would you be against being on camera?"
He paused. A camera? What was she doing? He supposed he's done more obscure things than that. "I mean, I guess not."
"Good!" April answered with a chipper tone. "Be over here as soon as possible."
He didn't have an opportunity to answer before the line cut and he was interrupted by the dead toned beeps of the phone. He moved the phone from his ear and pondered at it for a moment, unsure about what it was that he got himself into, but he didn't find himself unhappy with it at all. He looked over to his friend who was still on the phone with his boyfriend, a smile plastered on his face as he continued rambling on about something."Hey, Denver," Max said and was immediately greeted by his friend's attention. "I'm going to have to dip for tonight too, you're good though right?"
Denver huffed but shrugged it off. "Yeah, no problem. Tell April I said hello!"

Max wasn't entirely sure if he was supposed to dress nicer or if the occasion called for casual wear, but he opted for the jeans and sweatshirt he had been wearing during the call. She said to be over as soon as possible right? He hadn't had time to think about it in that case.
