Estrella looks at the TV in confusion as it goes silent, she turns to her son and sees the remote in his hand.
"Why'd you mute it?"
"It's scary."
"Oh Maxy." She gives him a small smile. "I promise I won't let anything like that ever happen to you."
"You promise?"
"Yes Maxy. I promise I won't let anything like that ever happen to you."
"I don't like promises." He frowns, memories flood his thoughts and Max shakes his head profusely in a frantic manner. His voice growing louder. "I don't like promises—I don't like promises—I don't like promises—I don't like promises—I don't like promises—I don't like promises—I DON'T LIKE PROMISES!"
