"Sultanim, Layla Hatun was killed last night in front of your chambers," Saliha woken me up early in the morning already making the day horrible. Layla Hatun was blonde concubine which was fighting yesterday with Hurrem when I intervened and I had no idea Hurrem would actually do that to her.
"Hurrem," I said angrily as I got up and dressed myself as I knew there will be problems now as she was killed in front of my chambers but Hurrem was being literally doors next to me and I could believe she would actually do this to put all the wrong on me.
"Valide Sultan," I said as I bowed to Valide who was standing in front of my chambers together with Hurrem, Mahidevran and Gulfem.
"Dilruba, do you know anything that happened here last night? Have you heard anything?" She has asked me looking quite angry and seriously this time.
"My maid just said to me what has happened I came now to see what was it," I said and looked at poor maid which was held in white cover and took somewhere else.
"Someone cutted her tongue here last night and she died," she said and I couldn't not to look at Hurrem who yelled on her yesterday that she would do this. Hurrem wasn't even acting weird but she had her head raised and looking at me like she will be the one to blame me.
"As this happened in front of yours and Hurrem's chambers we will look around them to see if there is anything suspicious," Valide said and for the first time I feared of her because she thought I have something related to this incident.
"Of course you can check them," I said and let her servants go and check my chambers and they did the same thing to Hurrem's.
Valide was nervous for the whole time but Hurrem looked proudly like she was ready to blame everything on me.
"Valide Sultan, we found blooded knife in Dilruba Sultan's room, the blood is fresh so it is probably the one who killed Layla Hatun," Daye Hatun said and I turned as I couldn't believe what happened. I was sleeping and heard absolutely nothing and now someone did it to me.
"Dilruba?" Valide looked at me so disappointed and with so much anger in her eyes which were focused on me.
"Hurrem, you yelled yesterday that you will cut her tongue and I wanted to calm you down, but now you did it and try to make me as the wrong one?" I barely could calm myself from yelling on Hurrem in front of everyone as I knew she was the one who did it.

"You disappointed me a lot Dilruba, I couldn't expect this to happen from you," Valide said not even wanting to look at me anymore.
"I swear to you Valide I would never do this in my life," I said to her but she obviously didn't even want to trust me. Even though how much she disliked Hurrem she didn't want to accept what happened and now she started blaming me and I don't know why when I would never do this.
"Take her to Suleiman's chamber so he can decide how will he punish her," Valide yelled and Daye Hatun took my arm and bring me in Suleiman's chambers.
"Dilruba, what happened my love?" Suleiman asked being worried why is Daye holding my arm agressive.
"Hunkarim, we found blooded knife in her chambers, it was her who killed Layla Hatun," Daye said and I saw such an disappointment in Suleiman's eyes.
"I haven't done it I swear to you they did this to blame me. I would never kill anyone especially not a concubine who was done nothing wrong to me," I said to Suleiman already having tears in my eyes as I couldn't look at him being disappointed of me when nothing bad has happened.
He nodded to Daye and his servants to leave the chambers and leave us alone and he looked at me with disgust.
"I could never believe a woman I love most in the world would be capable to do something like this," Suleiman said as he barely even wanted to look at me.

"Suleiman, I swear to you someone did it and placed the knife in my chambers. I was sleeping for the whole night all my servants can tell to you. I haven't left my chambers last night," I said to him as my heart couldn't stand feeling so distant from him.
"I knew Mahidevran and Hurrem hated eachother and all other women in Harem, but I didn't think you are like this, I don't want to look you anymore," Suleiman said and each his word hurted me so much.
"Suleiman Hurrem was yesterday fighting with this girl and threated she will cut off her tongue in front of me and I tried to calm Hurrem down. Hurrem hates me because you don't give her enough attention and she was afraid that concubine has slept with you so she wanted to get rid of both of us by one move," I said to him and went down on my knees in front of him as I couldn't handle my tears anymore. I was a strong woman who never cried but now tears couldn't stop going down my face.
"Then how could she put the knife in your chambers without you knowing? I didn't think you are like this, and I didn't think you are like them. I loved you because you were pure and innocent and now you are the same like them. I don't want to listen to those nonsenses again. Aghas, take her and banish her to the Old Palace," Suleiman yelled.
"Suleiman, I swear to you with my life of our son Murad I would never do this, don't leave me without his or yours presence," I said but my words obviously now meant nothing to him.
Aghas came and took my arms taking me to the Old Palace, maybe forever.
