Chapter 4: I was a LIAR

'Devil's gate..'

After hearing that, now I finally know why what he said earlier sounded familiar. It seems that he has overheard my conversation with Soobin! Our room was near the staircase so he must have been there since I didn't see anyone else that time.

Was that why he stopped annoying me during the afternoon classes and looked so cold? But was that even worth getting pissed off about?! Although I have known him for so long already, there are still times that I don't understand about him.

But knowing he overheard us, it was not good news at all. It's like cursing the president of a country at his back but then he actually finds it out.

'this is definitely bad..! I need to leave immediately!'

"W..who do you think are? To tell me I can't leave.. psh.." I replied with an irritated look. I grabbed my bag and rushed to the other door hoping to escape. But before I was able to reach it, Sunghoon was one step ahead and he blocked me from leaving.

"Me? Park Sunghoon. Your ex" he answered truthfully, smiling. I stunned that he was able to say it without hesitation.

In a panic, I looked around to see if anyone was nearby. I did not want anyone else to know that we know each other. So upon seeing no one, I sighed in relief.

"What? You didn't want others to know that I actually know you and that you were my ex-girlfriend?" He asked as he leaned forward, catching me off guard. His face is too close I can slightly feel his warm breath.

'He keeps mentioning 'ex girlfriend'! Aish! I'm getting pissed!'

But now that I got to see his face up close, I noticed how his looks didn't change much at all. If I were to point out what changed the most, I'd say it was his aura. He looked more matured and... Uhmm.. more handsome.. yeah...

'I..I'm not trying to say I still like him in some way okay?! I am just telling the truth! Just what I am seeing! Well, good for him, right?!'

With that in thought, I could feel my face heating up a bit.

'Aniya, Jang Wonyoug, get a hold of yourself! Why are thinking about those stuff? You can't get deceived by his charms! You're life is on the line right now!'

So I stepped back to put some distance between us. But then he stepped forward not letting me do what I wanted.

"So?" He asked again wanting to get an answer from me so I had no choice but to say something.

'He is so persistent argh! Is this a battle of persistence, then I should not back out!'

"I..it's my first time meeting you though. What do you by ex-girlfriend?" I decided to act as if I don't know him, hoping that he'll just let me off. But upon hearing what I said, his eyes narrowed.

"Are you really gonna pretend that you are not the same person I was talking about?" He raised one of his eyebrows before leaning back. It somewhat made me glad now that there was distance between us. I was about to say something in reply but then he spoke again.

"Then how do you explain this handwriting? I was sure it is the same as the ones my 'ex-girlfriend' had" he pulled out one of the notes I lent to him, showing a portion of it and emphasizing the word 'ex-girlfriend'.

My eyes widened as I was reminded by something.

'This is bad.. why did I just realized it now?! w-what should I do now? He must have read all of the notes and noticed that thing!'
