Welcome to yet another one of my fics which started out as something small and expanded into a full blown story where my imagination ran wild 😅😂
A few things to note before diving in:
• there wasn't a lot of info on the Red Room so I used what was online, what was hinted/shown in the MCU and my imagination. I hope it's okay and I apologise if I got some parts wrong! just pretend it's right and deal with it <3
• in terms of when Natasha joined S.H.I.E.L.D. and left the KGB, it wasn't explicitly said what age she was so i'm imagining it was around her being 24 years old, so yeah. If it has been mentioned and I've got it wrong, soz lol
• everything in this story is mostly canon and follows the storyline in the MCU, but I've mixed some parts up to fit the story (mostly in the Black Widow film) and some parts of the timeline have been extended or pushed to fit the story i.e. when Infinity War takes place. This sounds confusing now but i swear it makes sense in the story aha, no brain power required, promise
• and finally, i'm still new to writing nat's character so sorry if she ever seems ooc. I tried to keep it as close to MCU nat as possible :)
• WARNING/S: graphic-ish depictions of extreme violence, mentions of abuse, ptsd, trauma, death, and a whole bunch of stuff that comes with writing about natasha's past! please read at your own discretion – some things may be triggering for you.
