Half love

He had chose her,
How her heart had been waiting for this
For the moment where his heart would finally beat for hers
But that did not stop her mind from wandering
She had once been a second option
Why hadn't her heart felt whole?
Why was she filled with so much doubt?
But then again he was different now.
He did not feel like the same boy who had fell in love with her all those years ago
He once chose to forget the love his heart had hidden for her
He was the one person she felt the utmost safe with
The person she trusted the most
He had once left her
He had once chosen another over her
He had left her alone
And she did not feel the sense of security that he wouldn't do it again
But he had come back
Shouldn't of that been enough to calm the storm swirling in her mind?
After all of it, he chose her.
She knew he had loved her
But what she had felt for him was much greater
So much more passion
It made her question his love
But he did love her
Part of him always will
For that is how love works,
you can find someone new but a heart can never forget the heart it once thought was the life of this world
The saddest part of it all was that his heart yearned for someone else
Her heart yearned for him
And she did not want to spend the rest of her life with someone who half loved her
So she let him go.
For what you love you must let free
And after it all,
he would be happy and
she'd be the one with a torn heart and lost soul
He had broken her heart twice
And for once,
just one time
she would like to know how it felt to be number one
