Another week had gone by, and Phil was just about to leave to freshen up when he had an idea.
He leant down and softly kissed Dan, knowing he wouldn't even know.
Suddenly he felt something. He felt Dan start to kiss back, his soft lips pressed up against Phil's. They eventually broke away from their kiss, and Dan whispered, "I love you Phil Lester." Phil hugged Dan tightly.
"I love you too, Dan Howell," He softly whispered back. Tears of happiness slid down Phil's cheeks for two reasons.
1- Dan pulled through.
2- Dan had said that he loved him.
"And now that I've got you, I won't let you go." Phil continued. "I'll go tell a nurse that you've woken up." Phil kissed the top of Dan's head and exited the room, flashing Dan a quick smile.
After a minute or so, a nurse rushed into the room. She fiddled with Dan's tubes and asked him a bunch of questions, some relevant and some irrelevant before rushing out the room again, leaving Dan and Phil alone together.
