*This mini-story is set in the alternative timeline(Thanks to Barry) and so enjoy! I got this idea from many different pieces of things I wanted to do with Aria as well as the DECU. So seeing as Batgirl is getting a solo film soon I want to imagine it as if Aria was the one in the spotlight because why not.

Gotham was a place where only those who wanted to take part in the sin and a downward spiral into madness would venture too. Only a lunatic would return if you ever got the chance to escape would ever think to return?

That was the question on Aria Jade Wayne formally known as the Princess of Gotham and a small part of the Wayne dynasty. Well, the ones that were left. You see once Aria graduated she did everything in her power to leave this city, and she was right too. Gotham too everything her family had to offer and then some more until the Waynes blood was scattered through her streets.

She was not innocent nor naive to Gotham's charm, she lived her and turned her back on the very city. Aria questioned herself more and more about what was driving her back here. Nothing was the same and she knew it never would be. Walking into the ruins of Wayne Manor she took in the still-strong smell of brimstone that no matter how much she wished who vanish it still stuck around even after all these years.

The once grand and beautiful foyer was a small shell of what it used to be. A small chill ran down her spine as she turned to the once large and powerful chandelier that lay in ruin. But what made her feel the said and empty even somber feeling was the fact that her brother died under that very chandelier. Still on the ground were a few spots of dark crimson and she knew whose blood it belonged to.

"Jason." She whispered as if saying his name was bad and said in front of the right man it was. His name was a grave reminder of what not doing was told of you could lead to. Aria began her journey into the now decayed manor that once held the largest and most grand parties in the city every weekend. She reached the room she wanted to go to. When all the strength she could muster she shoved the old bookcase out of her way and she ventured into the dark and eerie all way.

Most people would not be able to go this far but Aria was not most people, she walked to the door that was sealed shut and she press the buttons of the keypad and typed the all-access code that she still remembers and hoped worked.

As if like magic the doors opened and she stepped inside. She sighed and the doors closed and began their descent down into the earth. The elevator became faster and faster.

"Fuck," She swore as gripped hard on the railing as it felt like she was free-falling deeper and deeper into hell. Until it finally stopped. The door reluctantly opened and swiftly she walked into the cave, it was as secure as it use to be, but then again Alfred was around then too.

Walking onto the metal catwalk she stopped in front of the second robin suit which was completely torn, burned, and not in a good condition. It matched the rest of the manor's vibe and appearance. She gently touched the glass and shook her head.

"If only you'd listen sometimes, Jay." As if one cue a large swarm of bats flew above her and towards the waterfall which also allowed Batman and Robin to enter and exit the cave. The eerie feeling of the cave only grew with the sounds of bats flapping their wings around the cave itself, joined with the constant roaring of the waterfalls and the slow drip from the stalactites.

Aria took the remaining metal stairs that were left, the obvious appearance of discoloration gave her all the information she needed as to why it felt like the whole place felt uneasy as well as unstable.

Once finally at the last level, she stood before the Batcomputer which much like everything was not in the best condition but it still worked, while most of it worked and the other have was covered in sheets and a tarp.
