Under the city of Gotham was something sinister and dark brewing below the surface. Hidden in an abandoned train station on the outskirts of the city was something that no one could except. A man stands in the empty room of the old train yard.

He paces around before a voice breaks him out of his contraction."Did you bring the drugs?" A deep strong voice grumbled from the shadows. The thug slide over the large briefcase."Where's my money?" He called in a jersey accent.

The briefcase vanished into the shadows and after a few seconds a box slid towards the thugs."What the fuck--

He was cut off by the box bursting open and a large cloud of orange smoke engulfed him. He could only cuff and choke for the first few moments of inhaling the gas. Once the gas began to fade the thug began to fan around himself before becoming more fidgety and more hysterical.

"HELP!," He chuckled and moved back and forth screaming and calling for help before a loud bang rang and the thug fall backward onto the abandoned train tracks.

The figure chuckled for a few moments before the silence returned over the abandoned wasteland.

The next morning the elevator opened as Aria fixed her curls the sound of heels on the black marble floors caused some to look and others to whisper in hushed voices as they watched the young woman move across the room.

Ignoring the protests of the security guard and the receptionist Aria continued her stride until she pushed open the two large wooden doors of the top office of Wayne Technologies.

The CEO turned in his chair to smirk at the young woman before. He chuckled shaking his head and sighing, "What is it with you Wayne's and making a grand entrance." Lucius sighed standing to his feet and holding his hand out for the security guards to stop.

"She's my goddaughter and her father still owns most of the company." He eyed them warily as the two nodded and closed the door scrambling as Aria sent them an evil smirk their way. Her face more into a warm smile as she hugged her godfather.

He hugged her tightly, "It's been a long time. How have you been?" She chuckled."I am doing as well as anyone could be."

Lucius motioned for her to sit on one of the leather couches in the middle of the room and he sat from across from her with his leg crossed overtop of his knee.

"I see, you've been quite the topic around here?" He said as he readjusted his bifocals. "Many wondered if you would be taking over the company after your father's withdrawal from the company. Well appearance-wise. Have you seen him?" He questioned.

Aria nods adjust the strap of her bag."What happened to him?"

He sighs deeply."I wish I knew, I asked him as well as Alfred but he didn't know either. I do know he could not stand the person he says your father turning into. I remember Alfred dropped by here before leaving haven't seen him since." He stared off into space, "But you left before that didn't you?"

She sighs, "I had to leave he was already so far down a dark path...I know I'm a terrible daughter for leaving him but he just was not my Dad I don't know who he was or even is now?" She picked at the couch and she truthfully spoke the truth about how she felt about her father.

Lucius shook his head." I know deep down he did not want you to see him like that. Had you not left when you did Alfred told me he would have taken you with him back to England."

The room was silent for a short time no one knowing what to say until Aria changed the topic."How's the city, I know it's not the same without him. I say the signal from my hotel, do they think he's coming back?"
