Stringed (Nino Nakano x Male Reader)

(I) Prologue

"Hey, Takeji-kun! We're glad you're here! Can you lend us hand, please?"

"Sure, where do you plan on placing this?"

"It would be on the top of our classroom's door"

"Got it"

I helped my classmate out by placing the banner at the front of our classroom since we're doing a Western Café. It's the day before the Sunrise festival. Every class is busy preparing for it. The festival will be held for three days and most of the students are looking forward to celebrating. The reason may depend. It might be a time to hang out with friends, enjoy the activities, or for some, confess to someone you like.

"Is here, okay?"

"Yeah! Thanks for helping me out!"

"No problem."

"It's a good thing you don't have any practice today"

"Yeah, coach said that we'll still have the regular practice but thought that it would be okay to help out since the festival is coming"

"I see, well, we'll definitely call your attention if we need your help. Thanks again!"

"Sure thing. By the way, have you seen Naruki-san?"

"I think she went out to buy some materials for the café"

"Do you know where she plans to buy?"

"I'm sorry, they didn't tell me but, you can ask our other classmates. They might know where Naruki-san went."

"That's okay, thanks for letting me know."

I tried to look for our class president within the classroom but wasn't able to find her. I started to look around the school to check where she is.

"Hi, Takeji-san! Where are you going?" a girl from another class approached me.

"H-Hi. I'm looking for our class president."

"I see... Takeji-san! Are you free this coming Festival? Want to go around with me by then?"

"I'm sorry, I have something to do that day."

"That's too bad. But it's alright! See you around then!"

"Okay."

I don't have anything to do though. I just made an excuse because I want to spend my free time with Naruki-san. Time passed and I wasn't able to find the president. I went back to the classroom and finally found her. I approach her while she was sorting the materials she just bought.

"Hey Naruki-san, you got a minute?"

"Oh... Takeji-Kun, can you give me a moment? I'll go to you once I'm done here."

"Sure, I can wait."

I took a seat and waited for her to finish. Several minutes later, I saw her being done with what she was doing. I waited for her to approach me but she proceeds to the exit of the classroom. I went after her.

"Naruki-san!"

"Takeji-kun?"

"So, I was saying, can you spare me a minute?"

"Yeah, sure. What's up?"

"Are you free this coming festival?"

"There are things I need to do since I'm the class president."

"Oh... I see... That's okay."

"But... I can try once I'm done. I just have really a lot of things on my plate especially at the time of the festival"
