(I) Chapter 14 - One Night, Two Days, and Three Hearts

[Takeji's POV]

"What happened?" I can see the confused look in Fumia's eyes

"Well... It looks like Drei had other plans. He and Misako won't be going with us..."

"It is what it is. It's not like I'll go home now just because of that. Besides, I already looked forward to this trip. Unless the two of you want to back out." Nino commented.

"I'm all good here. How about you Fumia?"

"I'm okay! I was also looking forward to this trip!"

"Okay then!" I exclaimed and the bus arrived a couple of minutes later.

We all went onto the bus. The seats were just for two people each. I noticed a seat that was already taken by one of the passengers and decided to take a seat there. The two just took a seat together. Since it would be a bit of a long ride, I put my earphones on and decided to take a nap.

"Hey, I think we're here." Some time passed and I was awakened by Nino who was tapping my shoulders.

"Huh? Oh, yeah."

"I guess Takeji-kun didn't have enough sleep." Fumia tried to tease me.

"Nah, I just can't stay awake on long trips." I chuckled as I scratch the back of my head.

We exit the bus and made a quick stop at a local grocery to buy some ingredients. The five of us originally planned to do a barbeque for tomorrow afternoon but I guess it would just be the three of us.

While looking for the stuff I need to buy, I saw Fumia heading toward me holding on to a basket.

"I can help you with that Takeji-kun." She smiled at me offering to carry the basket.

"Oh, it's alright Fumia. How about this?" I grabbed the basket from her. "You can help me pick the ingredients and hold this for you instead."

"I see, I'm okay with that. Where's Nino-chan by the way?"

"She said that she'll just wait for us in the Venue. She'll be the one to talk to the Innkeeper."

"Okay, so that means I'll have this time with you." Her voice was faint.

"Hmm?"

"I said, I'll have this time with you then." She leaned closer to me.

"Fumia?"

"Hmmm? Sorry, Takeji-kun."

"For what?"

"I decided to be more honest with what I feel."

I wasn't able to say anything. We continue to buy the rest of the ingredients while Fumia was walking close to me. After buying all the things we need, the both of us head over to the place that Drei was talking about. Some time passed and we finally arrived. It was still around six in the evening so it was still a bit early.

The Inn is established near a valley and that's where we're planning to do the barbeque tomorrow. It's just a short walk from where the Inn is. We walked towards the Inn and found an old woman who looked like she was waiting for us.

"Good evening." I greeted her while I take a bow. "My Friend Andrei made reservations for us. I think one of us already went here."

"Good evening to the two of you as well. Yes, the pretty girl already went to your room. Allow me to take you there."

"Thank you so much."

She then led us to the room we were supposed to stay.

"You sure took your time. What did the two of you do while I was away?" Nino asked while I saw her sitting and taking some pictures of the room.
