My favorite time of the year is here! And wow did we have a bumpy start. With the rules being different than normal, the uproar, and then at last peace and quiet in the ONC kingdom as all returned to normal.
I really am so grateful I am now able to participate.
This is my 4th year participating in ONC, I have been shortlisted once before, and I love this community with all of my heart.

Some things you should know before we enter this magnificent story:
I have been writing a Duology off Wattpad for approximately 6 months now and this Novella will be a story taking place in a different country in that world. While it has nothing to do with my Duology, it will be aiding in my world building as a form of "exercise" for me.
This ENTIRE Novella is Original and standalone.
However, if by the end of this Novella, you are just as in love with this world as I am, I would love to hear about it. I'm always looking for beta readers and interested souls who would be excited for me to begin posting book one on my profile for all of you to see.
So to recap, this story is absolutely written from the prompts and I didn't think of it before today.
But, I am showing you a world I love very dearly already!

This story does mention and to a very minor extent depict both slavery and "inflicted injury" - I do apologize if at any point some of the scenes make anyone uncomfortable. That is not my intention, though these themes are very important to the plots development.
Violence, Abusive Relationships (parentally), Death & Murder, Torture, and Slavery are all themes depicted - within WP content guidelines - but not in any place glorified.
