Although, only the higher class ones can afford to choose a birthstone for their children. Most of the public isn't even aware about it.
Some specific stones can be powerful enough to manifest the natural power, it is rare to see one being able to use magic in them.
They are often used or embedded in their weapons to increase the strength.
