Stand by you by Rachel Platten

"If your wings are broken
Borrow mine so yours can open too
'Cause I'm gonna stand by you
Even if we're breaking down
We can find a way to break through

Even if we can't find heaven
I'll walk through hell with you"

Taehyung carefully unwrapped the piece of cloth under the moonlight, near the window and revealed its contents on his palms to Jungkook. It was a gold rock and a golden stone, contrasting the red cloth.

"Where did you get this from?" Jungkook's jaw reached the floor as he scanned the items, even though Taehyung was a prince he wasn't allowed any share in the fortune of the royal castle. He had only what he was given, in his chambers. And Jungkook was sure as hell, no one would've given Taehyung a piece of raw gold and a topaz stone.

"I stole it, I want to make something for Jimin, and for that I need your help." Here was Taehyung, working his magic with asking favors. Which almost worked every single time.

Jungkook knew where this conversation was going, he was willing to do any favor for his Tae, but not this. Not something for that archer. But he couldn't deny it straightaway, so, he chose to make an excuse, "I could but smithy is closed, and we wouldn't even be able to see-"

"Don't worry about it, I have planned everything." Taehyung declared, he had deliberately settled upon preparing things beforehand, because he knew Jungkook would make countless excuses and there's no point in arguing, so he set up everything.

From lightning the fire torches all the way here to stealing everything that was needed in the making.

He knew, Uncle Jeon won't mind him using the workplace for a single night to make something precious to his certain someone. The last thing in the plan was convincing Jungkook. He desperately hoped that Jungkook would agree, he couldn't do it without him.

Jungkook scrubbed a frustrating hand on his face, there was only one option left. To help Tae. "Alright, let's go!"

In the dead of the night, two fire torches shone through the way to the smithy, undetected in the blackness, like a blanket of protection surrounding them.

Jungkook nerves never rested, each sound and motion were prudently identified and filtered till another layer of security calmed them down. That layer being Taehyung's steady breathing and excited whispers explaining the details.

A slight screech of the wooden door was heard after another lock was mercilessly slaughtered by Taehyung's sword because they didn't have the key and there wasn't any other option left, much to Jungkook's dismay.
