chapter twenty-seven: battle at liberty island part two

"Okay, Spider-Mans," Peter told his two other variants. "Sandman first."

"I'm gonna lead him inside the statue." The older Peter (TM) said as Flint was chasing him.

"I'll meet you at the top." The other Peter (AG) replied and looked behind him, noticing Connors chasing after him. He dodged his claws and managed to get a hold of Flint's cure. The other Peter (AG) turned to a corner, but Connors grabbed hold of him. "Hey, Dr. Connors."

"Hello, Peter." Connors greeted back while choking him. The other Peter (AG) looked to his side and spotted Peter swinging nearby. "Peter-One!"

Peter caught the cure. "I got it!" Max suddenly blasted Peter, and the cure landed back at the other Peter's (AG) position while Peter yelped as he fell.

The older Peter (TM) finally arrived inside the statue while being chased by Flint. "Flint! We're trying to help you!" He climbed on top and stretched his arm out. "Guys, I'm at the top! I need the cure!" He was suddenly grabbed by Flint to sink him in.

"I'm coming. I'm coming. I'm coming!" Peter yelled.

The other Peter (AG) pushed Connors' teeth away to avoid being munched. "Just... wait... your... turn!" He shouted at Connors and kicked him away. "Doc!" The other Peter (AG) webbed Connors to trap him for a while. "I'll be right back."

The other Peter (AG) ran away and grabbed Flint's cure. He jumped out and shot two webs to slingshot himself. Before he could release, he spotted Max by his side. The other Peter (AG) quickly shot himself on top for Peter to catch the cure. Peter got hold of the cure, pressed the button, and threw it toward the older Peter's (TM) direction.

The older Peter (TM) caught it and pressed the button again to cure Flint. A blinding light formed inside the statue, and the sand collapsed down. The older Peter (TM) groaned and removed his mask to breathe. He watched as Flint transformed back to his normal self. "It's okay, Flint." He reassured. "We're going to get you home. Just... stay right here."

The older Peter (TM) got out of the statue to be with Peter and the other Peter (AG), who were both watching Max consume more electricity. "How do we stop him?" The other Peter (AG) asked. "I've never seen him this powerful."

"It's the Arc Reactor," Peter replied. "We gotta get it off him."

Max shook his head. "You're not gonna take this away from me." Peter shot a web towards the Arc Reactor, but Max easily broke it. "That's not gonna work."

Max charged up and shot a big electric blast towards the three Peters, but they dodged. Peter pressed his earpiece. "Okay, we've gotta do this up close." He instructed. "Peter-Two, go right. Peter-Three, go left. On me."

The two Peters jumped in their assigned direction and shot their webs at Max's hand to prevent him from shooting more blasts. Peter jumped towards Max to grab the Arc Reactor, but Max shot a beam at him. The older Peter (TM) tried but failed as well, sending him away like Peter. The other Peter (AG) also tried until Max could finally use his hands and shot a beam at the other Peter (AG), causing him to scream.

Peter got back up again and tried to sneak behind Max; however, Max teleported using his powers and fired an electric shot from below.

Connors broke free from the other Peter's webs and looked around for any Peters around but stopped when he heard voices above. "All right, we're fine." He heard Michelle's voice. "We're gonna do it again. We're just gonna keep trying."

You stood beside Michelle to see what was happening outside while Ned took a deep breath. "Focus, Ned." You encouraged.

Ned nod. "Alright. We got it. I got it. Got this."
