Justine's P.O.V

"Justine Leah Hartley!"

"Mother, I am coming!" I groan as I take out the floral print dress from my cupboard for my Aunt's wedding. God, if there is anyone who hates dresses, it's me.

After slipping on the extremely uncomfortable dress, I take the leap of faith to look into the mirror.
The dress fits almost perfectly for once, despite my tiny frame. I decide to pair it with a plain white cardigan.

"Justine Leah! We are going to be late!" My mother shouts for the thousandth time.

I grab my phone and my earphones, the only two things I ever bring with me anywhere and head downstairs.

Mother's thick, brown hair is curled and her make up is done perfectly. She is beautiful really, and after taking most of my Father's genes, I do wish they were her's instead. She is tall and strong-willed, two things I am surely to never be. At least my older sister, Janice, is tall.

When we arrive at the venue of the wedding, almost every seat is taken.
Thank goodness my Mother is the sister of the bride so we have reserved seats.
Almost immediately after taking our seats, the priest asks the guests to stand and welcome the bride.

After we welcome Aunt Louise, we are asked to take our seats again.

As soon as I know it, they are exchanging vows, kissing each other and people are sobbing all around me. Even Mother is trying not to cry.

When the service is finally over, everyone stands up to greet the newly weds.

I get up from my seat and decide to walk outside. I wonder what Kate is doing so I ring her.

Kate's my best friend. We've known each other ever since kindergarten and I have never needed another friend since I got to know her.

"Kate, please pick me up and take me home." I practically groan.

"Wouldn't want your Aunt, who happens to be the bride, to be upset with you." She laughs.

She babbles on about her plans on surprising her boyfriend for his birthday.
I laugh at her ideas of gifts and I am about to protest against one of them until someone bumps into me. I look up to see the person and my eyes grow wide.

A boy who looks to be my age with brown eyes and light brown hair is hovering over me. He is very tall, I must say and very attractive.

"Sorry... Justine." He smirks.

"What? How.. How do you know my name?"

He points to a spot on my cardigan. What? I look down and realise that I have sticker plastered with my name on it, from God knows where. I peel off the sticker and roll it in between my finger tips.

"Right, haha... Well thank you for spotting that." I smile, avoiding eye contact with the terribly hot stranger.

"No worries, well I'll be on my way then." I can already here the smirk in his tone as his presence fades away.

"- Justine? Are you still there?!" I hear Kate's voice blast through the speaker of my phone and I lift it up to my ear.

"Yeah, sorry?"

"What happened? I heard a boy."

"Yeah, it's nothing. I gotta go. See ya!" I say before hanging up.
