chapter five: what's the plan?

As I dive down I notice the weather condition worsening "could this be the work of the man with the red cape" I think to myself before deploying the parachute.  Due to the high wind I end up landing further away than what I had planned, leaving me with no choice but to make my way on foot to catch up with Tony. 

Just as I make it to a clearing in the woods I find Steve taking on the man in the Cape "you want me to put the hammer down!" he yells before jumping into the air whilst raising his arm back "not so fast" I say before drawing an arrow from my quiver and fire it at him, as soon as the arrow connects it explodes and the shockwave from the arrow knocks everyone but myself to the ground. 

As the tree men slowly rise to their feet I stand in the middle of them "we done here?" I ask before slowly looking up to the cliff where Loki sits watching us "yeah I think so" Tony says as we go back to our original plan.

We get back onto the helicarrier and shortly after Loki is escorted to his cell where he is met by Nick Fury. Meanwhile Steve, Natasha, Bruce and I all sit by a table and watch the security footage "it's an impressive cage, though I don't believe it was built for me" Loki says "it was built for something a lot stronger than you" Fury says as he stares down Loki "I know I've heard of the mindless beast" Loki says as his head turns towards the camera "who makes play to be a man.  How desperate, I hear you call on such lost creatures" Loki says with a grin "how desperate am I? You threaten my world with war, you steal a force you cannot hope to control, you talk about peace and kill cause it's fun...you have made me very desperate" Fury says as he slowly approaches the glass cell "you might not be glad you did" he adds. 

I rub my eyes before looking back at the footage "well lemme know if real power wants a magazine" Fury says before walking away from the God of mischief.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce says as he looks up "he's trying to drag this out" I say "Thor what's his play?" Steve asks as we look towards our new ally who stands with his arms crossed "he has an army called the Chitauri.  They're not of Asgard, nor any world known.  They will win him the earth, in return I suspect, for the tesseract" Thor says "I miss when my biggest problem was a one eyed mercenary" I mutter "an army from outer space" Steve says to sum up Thors dragged out answer "so he's building another portal, that's what he needs Erik Selvig for" Bruce says "Selvig?" Thor asks "he's an astrophysicist" Bruce replies "he's a friend" Thor adds "Loki seems to have him under some sort of spell, along with one of ours" Natasha says before glancing towards me "I want to know why Loki let us take him. 

He's not leading an army from" Steve says "I agree something ain't right" I say as I readjust the throwing darts on my arm "I don't think we should be focusing on Loki.  That guys brain is a bag full of cats" Bruce says as he paces slightly "have care how you speak, Loki is beyond reason but he is of Asgard...and he is my brother" Thor says as he moves closer to the table "he killed eighty people in two days" Nat says "he's adopted" Thor quickly replies to correct himself "I think it's about the mechanics" Bruce says as he taps a pen against his hand "Iridium, what does he need Iridium for?" he asks "it's a stabilizing agent" I answer "well sound like someone's been doing his homework" Tony says as he walks onto the bridge "it means that the portal won't collapse on itself like at S.H.I.E.L.D" he says as he walks  around the table "no hard feelings pointbreak you've got a mean swing" he says as he pats Thors arm.

"It also means that the portal can open as wide and as long as he wants" he says before making a few jokes at the crew "how does Fury see all this?" Tony asks gesturing to the command centre "he turns" Agent Hill responds "sounds exhausting" Tony says before carefully placing his hand under one of the computers "very subtle Tony" I think to myself "that man is playing galaga" he yells "thought we wouldn't notice, but we did" he says before turning back to face us "anyway the rest of the raw materials would be easy for someone with Agent Barton's connections" Tony says before going on to talk to Bruce about stuff I can barely understand "and I'm also a huge fan of how you turn into a gigantic green rage monster" Tony says causing Bruce to let out a sigh "Dr Banner is here to help locate the cube, I was hoping you and Mr (L/N) would assist him" Fury says as he walks round the corner "of course" I say as I stand up "shall we doctor?" Tony asks as he turns to face Bruce "yeah tight this way" Bruce says as he leads us to his lan.
