Camilo's POV:
Soccer is my one break from being a Madrigal. I mean sure I get teased a lot on the field and stuff but most of the time its just because, they know i'm better then them. I never shift while I'm playing, well its happened a few times but on accident. When I'm playing, I'm just me. It reminds me of how I feel with Felicity. I'm going to be honest, I was a little sad that I couldn't spend the day with her.
I snap back to the game and call for the ball. Sure enough it rolls to my feet. I dribble it to the goal, shoot and score. My teammates surround me, yelling and jumping around cheering. I scan the small crowd on the sidelines. I see Dolores and a stunning girl standing next to her. I look past her until something in my brain lights up and my eyes relocate the girl.
Its Felicity. I can't pull my eyes away from her. She has on different clothes. She almost doesn't look real. The way her blue eyes twinkle, her dirty blonde waves blowing in the breeze, her perfect lips slightly curled into a smile. I look at her dress and notice something about the skirt. It's my favorite color. I have a lot of favorite colors and they are almost all warm colors, close to yellow or orange. I remember telling Dolores I loved the color of a banner hung on a storefront. I told her the color was captivating, and I can't remember why I loved it so much, but i did. The color Felicity was wearing is identical to the color of that banner. I don't know how long I starred at her, I could easily simply watch her forever if I had the chance. Suddenly I hear kissing sounds to my left and my friend Flynn, is laying in my arms.
"Oh kiss me Camilo!"he teases, puckering his lips at me. Before I know it, my entire teams catcalling me, playing with my hair and trying to kiss me. They make jokes that even I blush at and attempt to push me towards her, even though we are a good twenty yards apart. Sneaking a glance at Felicity, who seems to be enjoying this chaos, her wide smile makes me grin as well. I drop Flynn and push through the crowd of my friends, who are also 'swooning' over me.
"That your girlfriend, Camilo?" one of my teammates, Carlos, asks.
"Who?" I ask nonchalantly.
"The girl! The hot one standing next to your sister," he continues, looking towards Felicity. I felt anger start to grow in the pit of my stomach. My family always says I get my temper from my mother, who is known to create a hurricane at the slightest controversy.
"No, she's not my girlfriend," I say calmly.
"Really? I mean can you set me up with her than, 'cause if she looks that good in the clothes imagine-" he smirks at Felicity, who is talking to Dolores, before I cut him off by starring into his eyes, with a glare so cold the hair on the back of my neck stands up.
"What was that?" I ask cocking my head to the side. Carlos's eyes grow wide before he just shakes his head and looks at his shoes.
"Whatever, you two would look better together anyways." he says before quickly walking off. I allow myself a small grin at my victory. Im not a very intimating person, but my temper can make me one.
I decide to greet Felicity. I jog over and Dolores smirks at me before excusing herself, and walking away with her small signature squeak. I should've thought about what to say to her before I went over because I sound like a complete fool.
"Wow, Felicity you look.. wow." I manage to get out and she just smiles and the tiniest blush creeps across her cheeks. " I almost didn't recognize you. You look so different, a good different." 'What am I saying' I think to myself. "You look really good." I finally get out. 'Real smooth Camilo, what a ladies man you are.' I tell myself. My eyes travel down her body, memorizing every small detail of her new skirt and every lock of gorgeous hair on her head.
"I didn't recognize you either, without your poncho," she smiles and I remember I've only known her since yesterday.
"Like what you see?" I asl flexing my arms. I don't mean to brag but I am much stronger than I look. Im no Luisa of course, but I can hold my own. She just giggles and I get a warm sort of feeling. its like that feeling you get the split second before you get shocked from a door knob.
"You're really good, by the way." she gestures toward the field. I almost forgot about the game, to be honest.
"oh yeah, thanks" I say brushing off her praise.
"Aye, Camilo!" Juan from my team calls to me. "Done with your girlfriend yet? 'cause we could use you right now!"
"Shit," I mutter under my breath. All I want to do is stay with Felicity. I wish I could just sit and talk with her forever. "Im really sorry but I have to go," I say starting to back up towards the field again.
"Oh of course!" she says cheerfully, "I'll talk to you after, good luck chameleon!" she snickers at her nickname for me. I would never let anyone call me that. A lot of people have tried but I wouldn't let them. I wouldn't let anyone except Felicity. She is and will always be, the only exception.
