Undeniable

I regret having to leave Felicity, but enough rumors are probably swirling about us by now and I don't need to fuel the fire by staying by her side instead of running into the game. Before I get to the middle of the field I turn around and wink at her. Instantly a wide smile spreads across her face. I smile myself as I continue to run onto the field. Juan just waits for me shaking his head and laughing.

"What?" I ask when I reach him.

"What?" he mocks me. "You're not serious are you?" he looks at me In disbelief.

"What?" I ask again fighting the urge to laugh with him.

Juan has been one of, if not, my best friends. We've known each other since we were in diapers and have been close ever since. He is one of those people that whenever he's laughing, you feel compelled to laugh along with him. Even if you don't even know the joke, you just look at his smiling face and start cracking up with him.

"Hermano," he says slinging his arm around my shoulders, grabbing my face and closely examining my eyes, concern painting his face. I, too, become concerned and feel panic rising within my head. "I think your eyes..." he pauses tilting his head to get a better look at my eyes. "I think your eyes are shaped like hearts right now!" He says completely serious. I shove him off my and he stumbles but jogs a few steps to catch up with me. He laughs and slaps my back.

"You're so hilarious, Juan." I say sarcastically.

"I know right, you should be lucky to have a friend like me," he strolls next to me, a cocky smile paints his lips and I punch his arm. We walk towards the middle of field where everyone gets ready for a face-off. Juan pushes me towards the center of some crudely made circles in the grass to signify the face-off point. I shoot him a confused look until I turn to see who is facing off for the other team.

Pedro. He was much taller and older than me but I despise him with every fiber in my body. He and Dolores dated for a little, a few years ago. Dolores loved him with all her heart, but apparently he didn't feel the same way. He cheated on her, and when she found out she was absolutely heart broken. And the part that infuriates me the most about him is when Dolores found out, he never apologized. No, he just told her she was over reacting and should get over it. Although he is seven years older than me, and I was only twelve at the time, if Mirabel wasn't there I probably would've torn him apart right there.

"Sorry we don't like to have shit on the field, so we'd appreciate if you and pet grease ball would leave," I nod towards Andy standing to his right. Pedro furrows his eyebrows in anger at me and if someone could kill another person with just their eyes, I would probably be six feet under already.

"Just 'cause you are a Madrigal, doesn't mean you're better than us!" he growls. He spits out the name as if it was poison in my mouth.

"I never said that, Pedro!" I say with fake offense. I love toying with his head. Its easy because i'm guessing there isn't much rattling around in that thick skull of his.

"It-it was implied!" he yells, taking a step closer to me.

I scratch my head and pretend to think for a minute, "Was it though?" Pedro takes another step, absolutely fuming. Andy grabs Pedros arm and pulls him back.

"Save it for the game," Andy murmurs to Pedro. Pedro takes a deep breath and stares at me straight in the eyes. He just glares at me, probably planning all the ways he could kill me right now. I step up into the inner circle and notion for him to do the same. He cracks his neck and knuckles as he slowly walks into the inner circle himself. I can't help but crack a smile at how ridiculous he looks trying to intimidate me. I look back at Juan who gives me a reassuring nod, tossing me the soccer ball.  I drop it in-between our feet and a smaller boy appears with a whistle between his teeth.
