An entry a day, look at that!

We were on our own for a while, scrounging for scraps to eat, shoplifting when need be, and squatting in random ass houses.

...maybe killing here and there, but oh well-

Zack went after smilers, and liars, and I backed him up when they travelled in groups. Kept witnesses out of the picture, you know?
Until the priest came around

He called himself Gray. Said he needed "Angels" for a project. I was never really a religious person, and Zack was already walking away.
Until he dumbed it down
Said we could kill whoever, as long as they came onto our floor
That's all it took for Zack to be in, and no way in hell was I gonna leave him after nearly 6 years.

"Gray" took us back to the building we'd be staying, and down a long ass flight of stairs. Zack got himself set up with his new scythe, while I went out and met the others. All familiar faces, surprisingly!

Two I had met in the city, Cathy and... Danny
He still creeped me out a little..

Eddie was nice though! He seemed like a good kid, really passionate about his work. They all had their own floors.

Gray had a chapel at the bottom of the stairs, Cathy had a prison below that, Eddie had a graveyard, Danny got a hospital, Mine was a shooting range, Zack's was a city block, and the bottom one was the starting one. Registration, if you will.

They all died at some point. Zack wasn't the smartest, so most of them made it past him. And even if they managed to make it all the way past Eddie, Cathy was ruthless.

And then..a new floor was added. I never got to meet the person it was given to, though. Danny was very adamant that they were isolated from everyone apart from him.
I feel like an idiot for listening to him, especially now

I don't remember my victim's names, or what they used to plead for their lives. I do remember visiting Eddie to talk about graves, or Cathy to talk about true crime

A few times I went down and helped Zack clean up his fucking room. It was always a mess.
Again, life seemed good. But I couldn't shake the feeling that the last angel was someone I should take interest in.

You never expect the people brought down to be familiar faces. Especially not as recognizable as she was.
Even unconscious, and older, I could tell it was her when Gray was bringing her down to the bottom level.

Rachel Gardner. My sister. I nearly said something about it, but I figured it was better saved for her coming up. I just had to hope she could run.
