Jesus rolled his eyes. “ I’m tired of fighting wars Hestia. Let me tell you a few things you don’t know about me miss Omniscient to most. You wonder why I stay in Tartarus, its the one place I can go where Yahweh can’t see through my eyes. Well... he could see if he wanted to, But since the sight of his nephew sickens him, He withdraws from me the minute I enter. And I finally have some much needed peace.
Damn... He really did have it bad if dealing with Tartarus' Fire and Brimstone was his idea of peace.
Hestia actually felt bad for the Messiah.
“There are ways of blocking him.”
“No there not, not the way En-Soph had him trained. Thanks for that by the way. You could have killed Yahweh and you passed.”
Hestia shrugged “I could’ve killed you too”
“I can't tell you how much I appreciate that my lady”
Hestia took a stop toward him, “Jesus...."
Don’t "Jesus" me you have no right. You brought back Judas but left my Mother dead.
Hestia heard the anguish under those words and it scorched her. At one time she and Jesus had been best friends. No they’d been closer than that. She’d considered Jesus her son and she hated to see him in this much pain. “Mary Loved you, you were her life”“Apparently not, but I’ve accepted that.’’
“Then why do you want Kronos' scythe?”
Faster than Hestia could react, which said a lot about Jesus' skills, he grabbed her in a head-lock. Hestia started to fight until she saw what he was doing. While she could see the future, she could never see the lives of anyone she loved. But he was able to use them to show her what he would become. And it was terrifying. Through His eyes Hestia saw his true form and the army he lead against the world. Gone was the fun loving man who turned water into wine. The one who wormed his hare-brained way into Hestia's Heart. And taught her a lot about human life and normality. Fuck. How she missed their Friendship.
"My mother was the only thing that kept me human Hestia," Jesus growled into her ear while he continued to share his bloody and brutal destiny with her.
“Every single day I live with out her, I lose more of my humanity. There is nothing that can anchor me now. Do you understand?" He released her.
Hestia struggled to breath as the vision faded. “ I thought you hated me.”
“I hate every-fucking-body. Don’t you get it? I can’t help it. Welcome to the McFucking Club, now lets tell the world were open for business.”
He raked a snear across the throne room. “News flash My Lady, you’re really nothing special to me. Hatred is who and what I am now. It rules me entirely. Athena has tried everything, as has Uriel. Nothing works. Without an anchor I can’t stop the change." He gestured to the thrones. “You’re afraid of Yahweh? I pick my teeth with better evil than he can send, when I become The Destroyer, There is nothing that can stop me.”
“The Leviathan.”
Jesus just shook his head. “I've seen me kill him. Sammael is weakened by his past guilt and by the weight of a conscience I am losing day-by-day. When I no longer have mine and he still has his? He shrugged, “you don’t want to know how easily he dies. Remember he wants to die. He’s long done with this world and everything in it.” Hestia swallowed as she realized he was right. Sammael wouldn’t put up a fight, and without that... Jesus would destroy everything. And while Hestia was considered a goddess of Hope, she wasn’t the only one. Many Pantheons had at least one,who balanced the other out. But Percy wasn’t a god, having been born from the very Void that Khaos now rules over, He existed to Change the Multi-Verse. One way or another. Hestia was the only being alive who knew the true origin and purpose of Jesus' existence. And it terrified her.
